Man, CP3 is amazing, but he's got some really bad elimination game performances under his belt, where he basically just disappears and his team gets destroyed. Obviously, him not playing well isn't 100% the reason why his team is down 30 at halftime, but he's certainly not willing his team to anything right now.

Like, has CP3 ever shown out the way Luka is tonight, when facing elimination, and on the road no less?

I'm not trying to suggest the Suns are playing great offense, but I find it insane to suggest 27 points has little to do with the defense. Especially when we see the defense being played and how there has been basically nothing uncontested. Sorry, but Bullock in particular needs all his flowers right now and I'm going to give them.

Phoenix is playing embarrassing basketball. The worst criticism I can think of is that I genuinely thought I was watching the Knicks for 3/4ths of the half.

This looks like the 2002 Knicks.

based on this i expect the warriors will be clear favorites going into the CF with the suns out (yes i am assuming this game is over. would love to be wrong lol!)

I mean I would have agreed Dallas was last going into this game but damn that's disrespectful to a team that defends this way and has the most explosive offensive player left standing.

I don't think any of us are disputing that the MAvs defense is playing a massive role but this is the liveball era. 27 points today requires just pure ineptitude from the offense.

I honestly don't remember a single time CP3's even come close to what Luka's doing. I know people will point to that Game 7 against the Spurs because of his game-winner, but Blake was the best player on the court that game.

it'll be interesting to see their odds after this game

they were 6.5 point underdogs against the suns so those odds baked in the fact that vegas found it very unliekly that they'd even make it to the CF while the warriors/celtics/heat were already there

now that they've won the game, though? will have to see how it changes

It isn't disrespectful. Those odds are set by degenerates wasting their money.

Bulls holding the Jazz to 54 Points in a Finals Game

That is the lowest score for a playoffs game and it is in play

Not to be that guy but the criticism of Suns only making the Finals last year because they faced an injured team in each round and then losing to the first healthy team they faced in 2021 and now 2022 is pretty interesting.

Call me a Phoenix Suns apologist but I really do believe they'll come back in the second half and end up with more points than Luka Doncic.

BTW, Phoenix needs to just spam 3pa. Down by this much in an elimination game it is their only hope. If I was Monty I'd explicitly instruct them that we need to just not shoot 2s unless they are dunks. 80% of our shots must come from downtown.

This is a recipe for losing by 50 but playing your normal offense, best case scenario you lose by 15.

Eh, they were outscored in the finals by an average of 2ppg. That is very close. I don't think it is interesting at all to be honest.

I've been saying it all year. The Suns have proven absolutely nothing until they beat a healthy team in the playoffs. You can't always get to face teams without their best or second-best players.

Anyone who seriously thought they would have gotten past a healthy Kawhi last season is out of their minds. They should be thanking Joe Ingles (and the NBA schedule makers who screwed the Clippers out of getting any rest before the series) for gifting them their free trip to the Finals.

Im glad Giannis was able to play last finals. Ppl forget he had that nasty injury against the Hawks. It looked really really bad but he soldiered through it. If they got to play a Bucks team without Giannis too? :noway: :noway:

I must say. Luka ups his play to a whole 'nother level in the playoffs. It's undeniable at this point.
