he has to be prime buttler if the heat has any chance but our shooters must shoot well too

if we dont have a decent 3 point shooting then we could be in big trouble. defense will be another important key as rebounding

do these 3 things well and i believe we will prevail

Miami just has to play defense.

Miami went into Boston during this "incredible" run and beat them at the end of March.

Boston luckily has played 2 different teams so far who had basically a max contract player out.

Since upgrading the starting lineup with Max Strus over Robinson, Miami is now 22-5 (with numerous games without some combination of Butler and Bam) with him starting this year. I don't think people understand how upgrading from just a DHO and 3pt shooter to a much better all around player and better defender has helped the Heat. No Strus isn't a great player but he's a very nice upgrade that makes the offense and defense better.

BTW... this is the series where Bam can show he's worth his contract, he doesn't have to score well but his switchability will be key for Miami's defense. There are NO dominate offensive scoring centers left in the playoffs so it's time for Bam to prove how valuable a switching 5 is. Bam is the best center left in the playoffs.

We gotta play aggressive and everyone needs to step up. Those 2 home games are so big. Gotta win those and be focused. I hate The Celtics so much. I wish and pry we beat them.
I can't believe the Suns choked that series. Poor CP. We can win it all

We have to let Lowry get back to his necessary health. We're going to need his savvy and shooting when we lock horns with these next teams. Even if its a game 7 revival, he needs to get that hamstring in order and his rhythm back.

He looked like a lame mule against the Sixers.

how long does it take for a hamstring to truly heal?

At his age, months. Anything can reaggravate it. Everything is perfect in hindsight, but ideal would have been him not playing against the Sixers at all. If we win game 1, he should not come back for game 2.

On another note...the Sun is shocker for them to not get past Dallas.

I don't want to get ahead of myself...but that would be amazing if we beat Boston and then beat Dallas in the finals. It would make my soul happy.

Im going on my early 40s and I had a severe hammy strain that took 10 months to truly heal. I could play on it but i felt it constantly and it threatened to tear every time I played on it.

He may need injections to play on it again.

It's gone and im happy but now im not in any kind of real shape.

Wow, Mavs vs GSW in the West...I think we can beat both.

Celtics might e the hardest challenge left.

Let's do this, JUST DEFEND HOME COURT.

I am still in shock Miami beat the 76ers while shooting 29% from 3 over the series (57-194). If you had told me Miami was going to shoot under 30% from 3 against the 76ers for the series, I would have predicted Miami would have been swept.

Miami's advantage here is its bench. Herro and Oladipo will need to give Miami some good production, especially Herro.

Miami in 7.

Jimmy keep balling
Bam playing more aggressively on offense, making jumpers
Lowry coming back, looking normal
Herro getting into scoring rhythm
Strus keep balling
Dipo providing the sparks
Vincent being solid
Tucker being Tucker

Hit decently from 3, win the home games.

We can actually **** win the ship this year.

Bam needs to score on Horford to make space for the perimeter players. If Bam plays scary I do not think the Heat have a chance no matter how well Butler plays. Granted other players must play well as a group also. But Bam as a single player must play great.

W/ the shock loss of the Suns could we possibly see the 3rd instalment of this classic rivalry.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

I like the Warriors series more over this.

A finals series against the best team of the 2010s and a chance to end Draymond, Klay, and Curry era? That would solidify our team more in history.

But let's focus first on the task ahead.

Who would have home court in the finals between GSW and Miami? We both were 53-29.

We lost on the last game of the season to Orlando while GSW beat New Orleans if it is not our HC....

From NBA.com. Warriors will have Home court advantage against the Heat/Celtics. GS won the season series against the Heat 2-0. For the Celtics, GS has a better overall record.

a. Two Teams Tied. In the case of a tie in regular-season records involving only two teams, the following criteria will be utilized in the following order:

(1) Better winning percentage in games against each other.
(2) Division winner (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division).
(3) Better winning percentage against teams in own division (only if tied teams are in same division).
(4) Better winning percentage against teams in own conference.
(5) Better winning percentage against teams eligible for playoffs in own conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position).
(6) Better winning percentage against teams eligible for playoffs in opposite conference (including teams that finished the regular season tied for a playoff position).
(7) Better net result of total points scored less total points allowed against all opponents (“point differential”).
