To be fair, if we had Khris and were facing Phoenix’s defense instead of Boston’s our offense would a lot better and our role guys would look a lot better. Boston’s defense is insane and we were missing too much shot creation without Khris.

Is this actually a legit stat? It feels like it might be.

Yeah it just feels like it.

3pt step back = sure
3pt in the fastbreak = why not
Midrange step backs = all night
Long floaters = easy work
3pt catch and shoot = 24/7

Did we ever have a playoff game that Giannis , Khris and Jrue shot like that in the same night?

Luka = 12/19
Spencer = 11/15
Brunson = 11/19

Game 5 in Phoenix last year. That’s about it.

I think Kidd is a decent coach after all. It helps that he has Luka of course, but Carlisle did too.

Having Dinwiddie and Brunson is nice. 3 guys who can create. That trade was excellent.

The biggest problem with Kidd isn't his coaching. It's that he had too much control of player personnel and he constructed a roster that started John Henson and Tony Snell and had zero NBA-quality bench players while Brogdon was on his annual half-season sabbatical.

God help Dallas if they let Kidd have input on the roster. He'll torpedo the franchise just like he did here.

Given the option, give me two years of Paul and Giannis then running it back with Jrue at 3/105m. Didn't watch every game but I thought Paul had a pretty solid playoffs overall?

I think he can still be a good player for them but he can't be that second banana Phoenix needs him to be. Phoenix will still be good next year but they need to figure out how to reduce some of CP3's usage without taking a step back. CP3 looks like he's at the Kidd 2011 stage of his career.

Kidd has improved substantially learning under Vogel, particularly defensively. He was legitimately terrible and the worst coach in the league with us but credit to him for setting aside his ego to learn and grow as an assistant.

Paul was horrible. He had the one game where he couldn’t miss, but he played like **** this postseason. Jrue is such a better player at this point in their respective careers.

In another one of the “could be worse” notes, I had to listen to the Suns broadcast team in the car. Good lord their PBP radio announcer is terrible. He must be 90 years old. And he’d boisterously yell out “Shazam!” every time a Phoenix player hit a meaningless three in the 4th Q to stay within 40. He was some combination of Ron Burgundy and Harry Doyle.

ETA: He does turn 90 next year.

I'm excited to see the magic bullet ricochet between the Celtics and heat.

Lowry flopping leading to smart flopping and accidentally touching his teammate Williams leading to a friendly fire flop and maybe butler gets caught in the cross fire and has a flop of his own.

A domino of flops would be true nba entertainment in 2022.

Maybe if all 10 guys in the court could flop around each other and who knows maybe the guys on the bench uncontrollably begin flopping

Still laughing at Booker trying to publicly clown Doncic. This is like if John Collins did the same to Giannis during a series.

Fair enough. I didn't watch any of this round. He had a 7-1 assist ratio against the pelicans. Overall isn't his TS around 60% and around 18 PPG for the playoffs. Would kill for a guard that could hit a 3 today. Pauls not a great defender but he seems to have the annoying ability for key steals or flops.

I'm just sick of a stagnant offense and want a true PG with Giannis instead of rotating isos the whole time.
