Chris apparently hobbled by a quad injury which explains his poor play. Unfortunately Cam Payne and Shamet were less than stellar backing him up so I guess they felt they had no choice to play him.

Actually last year I thought Luka was the best player in the league seeing him in the playoffs.
•This is while Durant was missed the Allstar game , not all nba.
•Lbj hardly scoring 30-40.
•Giannis being ‘unskilled ‘ and not a fmvp which biases the masses.
•Now I wonder why embiid doesn’t get more consideration , guess because he misses too much time but he is approaching that territory to be considered where the media was begging to give him mvp last year .but I digress and not the point.
• And nobody would say Jokic

The narrative is non existent for some reason and some would even hesitate to even consider him a sure fire top 5 guy . Right now he is up there with the all time playoff scoring averages so I wonder how his ranking will galvanize and if it’s been opened to any one eyes at least for a moment .

That was insanity. I could not believe the score throughout the whole game. Sheesh, what an absolute mauling.

This would be a better feat than what Lebron did in 2007 with the Cavs.

That Cavs were wayyyy worse. Still would definitely be a great achievement if Luka were to carry the Mavs to the finals.

I think the game was won in the first minutes. Luka came in on fire, making the Mavs feel lost. The Suns got hit hard by the defense and were never able to get themself into it. If Luka had gone 0-3 at the start, I could see the Suns becoming confident.

What a choke job.

64 win team without Spirit, they need some balls there, trade cp3 for Russ.

All the credit to the Mavs, but Suns just played dumb in this game from the start for whatever reason. Ayton had his first FGA in Q2. It was all contested Crowder(!) and Booker shots, missed shots on drives to the basket. Basically game-planning and execution of a high school team, but we are talking a 63 RS wins team here.

But it wasn't just this game. It was 2 blowouts in a row. I don't believe that has ever happened to first seed after leading 3:2.

And if we look at last 5 games, it was total domination by Mavs. Suns not near in any of their loses.

I'm still pretty stunned. I can't get over Phoenix had only 27 points at halftime. How do you come out that flat.

As a Bruins fan, getting eliminated against Carolina felt a lot better after Toronto choked another game 7. Bucks fans: embrace the hate, you might have lost , but you didn’t lose like Phoenix did. Yikes.

Complex reasons, CP3's play being a major one, but some Mavs fans will tell you it's only Mavs D and Suns being scared of a team they beat a lot in the past.

What about MVP candidate Booker? Where was he last 2 games?

Yeah those two games showed Booker is not a superstar, but I have not looked at him as such anyway, though he has stretch of games when he does look like one. Still I would put the blame first on Monty for not having a plan B and run some plays for Ayton in Q1. If Suns had an advantage in this series it was with DA in the post. CP3 was not his self, it was so weird running the offense thru Crowder who was chucking and turning it over. Those are the two main reasons for the loss from Suns side POV. If Booker was getting good looks he's good enough to make his shots.
