You have to sell out on effort when your coach is this involved (and a Hall of Fame player like Kidd).

Kidd was incredible in the series. I really respect Monty Williams, but Kidd thoroughly got the better of Monty in the series.

Good job, coach.

That's coaching? Sounds like a parent in the stands. I'm not impressed by this clip at all. Pretty basic.

Let's be honest here, in the middle of a playoff game with tens of thousands of people screaming, most of the players on the floor probably cant hear anything from their coach on the sidelines. Everything is going to come down to the pre-game planning.

Doe-Doe was looking to leave Booker a bit, but Kidd wanted Doe-Doe to stay at home and double him. Clearly Dodo could hear him. It's not that loud, even when the fans go all out.

Thought he would get fired after his 1st season. Didn't expect him to make the Conference Finals. Good job

I think you're underestimating how well some of these guys can project their voice. He's a former NBA point guard and he had to find ways to communicate with teammates at all times. Kidd is literally standing right next to DFS and Powell on those traps. If they can't hear him because of the crowd, then what's the point of talking on defense at all.

Plus, there weren't tens of thousands of people screaming, the suns were getting stomped and the energy had already been sucked out of the building.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

When he was in Milwaukee his rotations and adjustments were pretty terrible, but his players would run through a wall for him. I still remember when they were going to fire him Giannis was threatening Miluwakee upper management that he would leave if they fired him and Kidd himself had to talk Giannis down. Now that he's developed his schemes and rotations and overall feel for the coaching position he's a damn good coach.

To me, he and Udoka are the most impressive coaches so far. So on point with strategy, adjustments, and they've disciplined their teams on defense perfectly.

Kidd was rumored to either be a candidate or outright become the Lakers coach quite some time ago, I believe it was three years ago. I was livid. Save to say he has either taken a step up as a coach since then, or I was just plain wrong from the get go. Did get to farm a bunch of And-1's though, so there's that. Congratulations to him, he's doing a terrific job. He has Doncic excelling while still getting the maximum out of the other players, that itself is an achievement.

Kidd was one of the greatest minds to ever grace the hardwood floor.

It was really surprising to see him be so underwhelming as a head coach a few years back. Maybe there was an ego element? He started coaching right after his playing career was over. I guess his years as an assistant helped him greatly.

This has been a coaching clinic by Kidd. Great stuff all-around.

Man this is a pleasant surprise. I was one of the naysayers who laughed at Dallas for hiring this guy. People can always improve, and I didn't even think about the possibility that Jason Kidd learned a lot through different tutelages.

I wasn’t, in fact I was one of the few people saying I thought he was going to be hired and he’d be a good fit…I want a cookie!

Is it a hot take to say I feel like Bucks would of beaten the Celtics if this version of Kidd was still coaching them?

You mean to say "doing work" he's obviously at his work, that's his job.

I always thought he had it in him to be a great coach. Glad to see it's coming together for him. Also, yeah. He definitely would get back out there if he could. Any retired player who loved the game would.
