Was it a deliberate choice to ensure that Grant doesn't have his own thread? He's getting a lot of media attention these days -- e.g. Sam Quinn's article tonight -- and I don't know where to post things like that.

Grant is a >50% playoff 3pt shooter, both this year and for his career.

The volume is still erratic, but the percentages are actually pretty steady.

He had a rock solid regular season and he's been fantastic in the playoffs. Last night he was outstanding on both ends of the court. You can make a valid argument that he's the C's 5th/6th most important player on the roster.

When Ainge drafted Grant, it's specfically with KD and Giannis in mind. Can't convince me otherwise. Bam, you next (*crosses fingers*).

I think it's hard to put him lower than 6th. And I like Derrick White

The Joker already threw a playoff series to avoid having to face his nemesis again.

Yup. And in this Bucks series in particular he's like the 3rd or 4th most important because of his ability to guard Giannis effectively. If I'm Brad I'm offering him a 4-year extension slightly at less then what Timelord got. I think Grant would accept it. He genuinely seems like a great kid who loves Boston and loves his coaching staff, teammates, and everyone he's interacting with each day. Boston is a great spot for him to contribute to winning basketball for the next handful of seasons.

3rd most important for guarding Giannis and his ability to hit open threes against a very big, but slow moving defense.

Could G. Williams have even had a better year than he has? His improvement this year has been awesome, and he's a real difference maker for us on the court!

He even seems good off the court, honestly.

Theis gave good minutes after Horford picked up his third in the first half. There wouldn't be a game 7 without White. Nice to see Nesmith confidently take and make a three even if it's garbage time. Williams and Pritchard made a bunch of shots in game 7. Even if you are wide open that's not easy. They might not have prototypical size or athleticism but those guys are ballers.

It feels like the "if only Ainge had drafted Thybulle or Clarke instead of Grant Williams" takes if they were still alive, died a brutal death tonight and I'm all for it.

After a great game 7 Payton Pritchard ended the 2nd round series shooting .333 from the three. He is now .341 from deep in the playoffs for his career. I would not be sad to see him go and get replaced by someone who can play defense and also shoot .341 from deep.

Hug the line .341 or 27ft shooting .341?

Hug the line .341 is fine if that player can also switch on D and attack the rim. Unironically Javonte Green.
