NBA Lottery tomorow, if it was rigged who would the pick go to?

The top 10 is literally a bunch of small or medium sized markets so there is no clear and obvious rigging choice for the league this year. I could see Portland since the league needs PNW representation and also they might lose Dame who was their only marketable star. New York has a 2% chance of the #1 pick it would be too suspicious if they moved up.

Sac, Orlando, or OKC winning the lotto doesn't really help the league that much. So I would say this year the league does not need to bother rigging the lottery as all of the teams involved don't really move the needle much.

. We have had great lottery luck combined with terrible teams post LBJ that I would absolutely shocked and delighted as we finally have a proper rebuild going.

I'm no fan of theirs but the Pistons are one of those teams that feel right as challengers, I'd like them to get someone to pair with Cunningham. However I don't think they need to be 1 to do that.

I think it would be fun to put Holmgren somewhere like indiana and just see what happens. I don't see anyone in the top as a sure fire transformative piece, but holmgren might be and I'd like to see Indiana get that chance (I actually think he'll be a bust though, but I've been wrong).

From what i read its a clear top-4 draft, so winning isnt even that big. Just jumping into the top-3 is allready fine

There's not much going on with the teams in Texas other than the Mavericks with Luka. So I think the Spurs or the Rockets would win the lottery if it was rigged.

If it is a top 4 draft the Magic will somehow get the 5th pick. Thats how you know its rigged they are always one out

I actually prefer the prospects outside the top 4. 3 of the top 4 are very risky IMO

Did you know that a team outside of Texas and California hasn't represented the West in the Finals since the 1970's?

-New York
-New Orleans (NBA promises them another top pick if they trade Zion to NYK)
-Cleveland (gives them another piece to lure Lebron back home to end his career or to use as a trade for Lebron so LA can get a top player in this draft)
-Detroit (give Cade a running mate)

Lakers or Knicks are the largest markets. If it’s rigged one or both of these teams select in the top 4.

Since 1980 the non Texas/Cali teams that went the NBA Finals as WC Champs:

Blazers (2x)
Suns (2x)
Jazz (2x)
Sonics
Thunder

Just 8 out of 42 (including this season). And none of those 8 teams won the Finals.
