Re: 2022 NBA Draft Thread
I'm not really excited about the prospects in this draft to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised to see Presti trade out of it for next year's draft, as unpopular as that might be with many fans.

same feeling but no way he won't draft a guy in the top 8 but I think there's a real possibility he tries to get some value to move down IF we get lucky and get a top 4 pick.
It's a pretty good draft to move down from 2 or 3 to 4-5 if there's a team willing to give up assets

I wonder if Presti would be interested in a trade with Detroit ?
Something like 2 for 5 + Detroit removes/lower protections on the 2023 1st round pick we owe you guys. Lowered to the point where it’s likely conveyed in ‘23 draft
Or is that not enough value

I have no idea what Presti thinks but if Detroit is willing to REMOVE the protection on the pick, I would do it in a heartbeat (I doubt Detroit is willing to do this considering how strong the 2023 draft is)

Trying to figure out who's the guy between 6 to 16 in most mock drafts that Presti will take at 2

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Thread
I think moving up from #12 to #10 should be pretty easy considering the fact that we own Wizards future FRP. They don't care that much about the pick if Beal stays but if he leaves (most likely IMO) they should still accept to move down 2 spots to get their pick back.
Moving up to 7-8 gonna be tricky though.

right
I suppose it would depend on what Weavers plans are in FA with our max cap space. My thinking is if they think they might end up in that 10ish range, they would probably be open to removing the protections but who knows

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Thread
This draft isn’t as strong as last years at the top but I still think the top three guys are likely better than what we may get next year in the mid lottery next year from Detroit. That particular trade doesn’t interest me.

Find the one with plus length , some ballhandling skills and can’t shoot 3. That’s probably the one .

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Thread
I’m not interested in a trade down from 2.
I prefer trading up from 12 but can consider trade down if the idea is to get someone more ready rather than a project but if we are getting Chet at 2. I want move up for another prospect.
I’m open to trading out from 30 or 34 though.

I kinda get that feeling too. Chet and Suggs were teammates at Minnehaha though. Smith just feels more like a John Hammond guy. Ftr I have Chet higher on my big board but still acknowledge he's not without a fair share of risks.
