I'd wouldn't be upset if Indy won. They need star power at the forward position and Jabari or Paolo would be perfect.

I hope the Pels DON'T land top 4.... Happy with the wings mocked around #8-#10

If its rigged then its definitely New York's.

Sick of these stupid conspiracy theories, no matter how many times the otherwise has been proven, as a matter of fact, people still bring up these constant is beyond amazing.

Texas is doing just fine mate.

Is this sarcasm? I feel like it’s sarcasm.

Chuck wasn't too far off. Obviously Portland, Phoenix, Utah all represented the West at various points.

I was just going to say, we literally had a team last season from neither of those states represent the West.

I think the Magic are due to win the NBA Draft Lottery.

The Magic were founded in 1989, and only won the Draft Lottery three times.

1992 - Shaq

1993 - Chris Webber

2004 - Dwight Howard

Only? lol. Some teams have never won it, and been in the lottery more times.

Edit: On that note, the LAkers have never won the lottery. I think they're due up. :)

That makes no sense.

I can see the draft playing out similar to this.

1. Chet Holmgren-Houston
2. Jabari Smith-Oklahoma City
3. Jaden Ivey-Detroit
4. Paolo Banchero-Orlando
5. Keegan Murray-Indiana

Paolo, Chet, and Ivey are high risk high reward players, possible NBA identity struggle, all with varying issues... its certainly not like last year's draft. Whereas the rest of the lottery is filled with high floor intriguing two-way wings. It's not a loss at all if OKC or Orlando doesn't move up, for example. I think the value with the 8th pick is as good as the second pick, and you get to pay them a lot less over 5 years

It would be rigged if NOLA won it because it’s the Lakers pick and they were once owned by the league

If it would be rigged, they would do it for NY since this year's free agency is trash. Trades are pretty much barren, so getting the #1 pick would benefit NY and add a top tier talent.

Ha. Yeah right.
In the last 17 drafts, the Knicks have moved DOWN 7 times and the other 10 times remained right where they should've picked.

As a Knicks fan, I expect the 11th-13th pick.

He does have a point though, haha, i.e., if we're looking to find far-fetched but within the realm of possible conspiracy theories. So he deserves credit for coming up with it. :P

Sac, Orlando, or OKC winning the lotto doesn't really help the league that much. So I would say this year the league does not need to bother rigging the lottery as all of the teams involved don't really move the needle much.

you missed the main factor. The only time the league riggs the lottery is when there is a can't miss sure thing #1 prospect. This draft doesn't have much if any separation in the top 3, maybe even top 4.
