Sharpe has to rank as the highest rated prospect with the least impressive body and body of work that I've ever seen. He is of average NBA size. Jr Smith atleast came out of nowhere with a huge showing in a televised pre-draft game. It's as if people are afraid to miss out on the unknown new guy. That energy is warranted if the guy were more impressive. He dunks well, but his floor game is normal, he isn't a great passer.

Easily?

I'm a fan of the potential too but, easily #1? I don't know how anybody can say that with any sort of confidence based on the knowledge we have of him. Cal sort of ruined it for all of us in terms of getting a real viewing of him.

He doesn't appear to be able to palm a basketball. That doesn't mean that he will be a bad player, just one less physical gift that will make it harder to be a special NBA player.

He's around 6'6" with shoes and a 7' wingspan. He has a very wide trunk and should be able to bully guards.

Are we scared of his 63.5% FT shooting in the EYBL?

33 makes in 52 shots. Fairly hefty sized samples.

This has to be a ding with regards to his long term shooting potential at this point.

You're projecting him to be able to bully guards? I'm not investing in that stock. 6'6" bully ball is not a recipe for super stardom.

In like 12 Peach jam games I think he shot around 75% from 2 pt range. When he was 15 in Fiba he shot 79% from 2 pt range. He has no problem getting his around the basket.

Still think he goes 4th. Could be a Jordanesque pick, could be a complete disaster.

Jordan was always quicker, faster, more agile and able to out jump his competition. Sharpe gets his layups blocked in high school...

Your position on Sharpe is well-established.

By the way, I wasn’t referring to Sharpe as the next Jordan. I was referring to the pick, taken after bigs, ending up as the best player.

That's happened too many times for it to be Jordanesque, and Sharpe has yet to be drafted, he could actually be selected in the late lottery "Kobeesque."

Sharpe 6’5.25 in shoes , 6’11.5 wingspan at the combine . That height is not ideal

Slightly shorter but longer than Jaylen Brown. Similar to Anthony Edwards. He’ll be fine
