Raps fan aka Team Wingspan  , coming in peace:

Would "bigger/less-mobile, early season and before" Chris Boucher with nicer shooting mechanics be a decent description?
I'm seeing a preference to play on the 3 point line, gambling for blocks, causing spurts of chaos with his length or a hot hand, and some mental lapses/detrimentally emotional play - which all tracks.

Boucher had this mid-season Dennis Rodman inspiration, and it really turned his game around, and he played with more fire being confident in what his role was. I wonder if that could be part of Mo's problem having had Vuc, Isaac, WCJ - even Birch to contend with, and never really feeling connected to a role? Does he just have a deadpan face, or does he really not give a damn?

Sometimes he gives a damn but doesnt know the coverage or has many mental lapses. Under the rim he has bad positioning and isnt agile enough to not foul. There is some upside there, but he needs a change of scenery imo.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I'm one of the few fans here that thinks he'll end up being a good player. I'd like to see him in a city like Toronto that sells out and has a loud fan base. I have seen Bamba elevate his play when the crowd is into the game. If Toronto offered him around the midlevel I don't think we match.

Thank you for the feedback. If Mo is the type that would do better in a hyped environment, the Toronto crowd and Scottie Barnes' energy might be that scenery change he needs.

With Masai and Weltman's history, I imagine they could easily work out some kind of compensation not to match.

It's always nice to see players find a new lease on the game in a new environment, and wherever he ends up I hope to see him hit his stride soon.

Best of luck today, y'all!

EDIT: Congrats!

I rather just cut loose while we can. Even if we resign him to trade, what is he bringing back?

Mo bamba plays like a young inexperienced and yes IMPROVING center. He has shown growth offensively as a stretch big. His screens are certainly not the best, at most they are a decoy.
His defense is also improving. There was a time in his career he would have fouled out of the game if he played 30 minutes. He could make it to beyond 30 minutes in a game now without fouling out. That however does not qualify as good defense. I think his recognition on defense has improved. The game has slowed down for him a bit. However I think it's a body type issue for him. He's so long and lanky that even if he sees where he needs to be he can't get there quick enough.

He's got the tools to be an effective player in the right system for the right team. Hes got some work to do to get there and I'm rooting for him.
I hope he gets a fair deal and sticks with the Magic and helps hoist a banner for us

Is this the end of Mo bamba? Chet or Jaden will be ahead of him.

For sure, no way he will ever play for us again.

The only question is if we are going to get something in a SnT or not.
