i think OG and future first.

Considering this draft isn’t considered to be all that great, I think OG alone is enough for 7. I’d actually be hesitant to even do OG for it but would do it if it gets us Shaedon.

Doubt Portland can get a better return than a guy like OG. They’d be lucky if they manage to develop the 7th pick into a guy as good as OG

For the 4th I would say we would probably include a first.

If I was in the Kings or Portland position, I wouldn’t trade my first for OG (injury prone, suspect handles, panning out to be a role player)

Well considering the fact that Portland fans are now discussing trading the pick for Jerami Grant I think they’d be more than happy with OG

OG’s offensive game is still developing pretty solidly. His defense is elite. As a guy who could feed off of Dame, he fits better than most other guys who actually need the ball in their hands to be effective.

I also don’t really buy the injury prone thing so much since a lot of it has just been bad luck

I would be shocked if Portland can manage to get a better return than a 24 year old who averaged 17ppg as a 3/4th option and can play lock down defense (Portlands most glaring weakness)

As I said, I’d be hesitant to do it from the raptors perspective since it’s not a great chance that the player at 7 becomes as good as him. I’d only do it to get Sharpe. Otherwise no way I’d do it

Adjusted for contract, OG and Siakam are not that different in impact to our team's winning.

I don't think they should be trying to trade OG. He's awesome and would start on pretty much any team in the league and is on a great contract. I just think it's worthwhile to try to find a potential star primary creator - perhaps the hardest kind of player to land. I think Ivey has a chance, and OG might be the cost. The fact that the Kings would have to include Barnes would make the bitter pill a little easier to swallow.

How about we ship out both FVV and GTJ instead of one OG

GTJ sure, but they can't trade FVV. For all his flaws, he's the teams culture setter and still an incredible player. Can't see Masai trading him for a pick. Even though I think Ivey has star potential, it's still a risk. FVV is too much. Maybe GTJ plus a pick for #4?

BtW, I wouldn't do the trade for #6 - I just have too many questions about Sharpe

Mo bamba might be available, Magic will probably go for Smith.

Isaac is another possibility but hasn't played in a while obviously. If healthy he's better than Bamba. WCJ too

Blazers 7th pick should definitely be looked at IF someone drops from top 5.

I have to believe that the Kings are done with lottery picks and younger players.

Would Gary Trent, Malachi Flynn and a future first be enough for Richaun Holmes, filler and #4?

With Lillard representing them at the draft(signaling the relationship is still going strong), I doubt they'll trade their best big man for a back up PG and a 3rd big. They already have young PG/SGs on the roster so the odds of Flynn getting much burn is minimal.

They're going to be looking for roster upgrades with the amount of cap flexibility they created.

Isn't Nurkic an unrestricted free agent?

Any way we could fleece, I mean, negotiate a fair trade with Orlando? Their roster is the epitome of sell low. Outside of Wagner, it doesn't really seem like anyone is untouchable.

He is a UFA, completely forgot. My bad!

If they wanted to accept Birch and Flynn as compensation I'll drive them to the airport myself.

https://hoopshype.com/2022/04/11/blazers-gm-on-upcoming-free-agent-jusuf-nurkic-were-big-fans/ it seems like the Blazers want to bring him back. With the Mavs/Hawks apparently being interested, might be some competition for a S&T

Every team always says this but then they want a king's ransom for the pick.

hmmm I wonder what it'd take.

My guess is it'd look something like:

3rd pick + John Wall for Prospect, future 1st, and filler with a better contract. Granted Wall's contract is up after this year which could be really valuable for a team looking for cap space in 2023.

Return to Toronto Raptors
