Going off Givony and KOC's mock drafts to get an idea of who is projected to be drafted in our range (20-30 in their mocks) and giving my early thoughts. Subject to change as I see more of them.

Would be happy to take:
- MarJon Beauchamp - Just a really good prospect and a good fit for this team's makeup IMO.
- EJ Liddell - Seems to be a switchable small-ball big man. Curious to see how his offense translates to the NBA.
- Christian Braun - Pretty good all-around wing prospect. Would not provide the shot creation that killed us against Boston, but seems likely to be a pretty good role player.
- Walker Kessler - If we're going to stick with the drop coverage, he's a great fit for it. Historic shot blocking season this year. Lots and lots of dunks on the offensive end, but that's essentially all he's good for there. Terrible free throw shooter/perimeter shooter. I don't love him due to his limitations, but I think we probably need to choose between Portis and Lopez this offseason and Kessler could someday replace what Lopez does on a rookie contract.
- Blake Wesley - Size, length, and athleticism are all there. Shows pretty good shot creation ability and defensive potential. The actual results haven't really been there so far, but that's why he's a late 1st round prospect.
- Nikola Jovic - Love the scoring potential at his size. Definitely some questions how he'll defend in the NBA and how much his mediocre athleticism will limit his offense, but the skill level and shooting potential are definitely there.

Eh:
- TyTy Washington - The athleticism is pretty alarming, but the need for that is at least somewhat less due to him not being a lead ball-handler if he comes here. The comfort in the two man game, passing ability, shooting ability, and floater ability would all be welcome additions and he's big enough to hold up defensively against more than just PGs (as long as he's able to stay in front of guys).
- Kennedy Chandler - With his size, he'll probably always be targeted defensively. But having said that, 40ish% 3 point shooter the last few years and he'd give us the speed/quickness we currently lack.
- Kendall Brown - Great athlete and I think he'll learn, but he's still figuring things out at both ends of the floor.
- Jalen Williams - Just putting him here for now; haven't really seen enough to form an opinion.

Actively Avoid:
- Pat Baldwin Jr. - Better shooter than he showed at Milwaukee, but he's never been the lights out shooter he was billed as. Don't like the foot speed, injuries, and lackluster production this season either.
- Jaden Hardy - Shot like crap this season, but I still think he projects as a pretty good shooter. Just don't like the way he plays or the athleticism.
- Jean Montero - Relatively small point and sub 30% shooter the past few years.
- Christian Koloko - Like Kessler, he's a fit in drop coverage. Just not as good pretty much across the board compared to him.
- Trevor Keels - Short wing both in terms of height and length, though he's built like a brickhouse. Just don't really see anything I'd hang my hat on with him.
- Bryce McGowens - Pretty impressive size, length, and shot creation ability, but just doesn't shoot it well at any level, defense was terrible this year, and he was a black hole at Nebraska (granted, it's Nebraska).

Just be aware of the context that he's college junior age, he turns 22 just before the start of next season. He is a smooth athlete, though. I definitely don't think there's a guy in our range with a better physical profile for a NBA wing.

He looks like an NBA wing. 22 is just fine that gives him 3-4 years of developmental potential just as he's hitting his peak. I'd prefer that over an 18 year old project.

All those guys were much better college shooters than Chandler though. And the only guys on that list with a similar physical profile are players that you basically have to hide on defense (Trae, Jones, Patty), so it kinda furthers my point. Guys like Brunson, Lowry, and CP3 are built like running backs.

I would definitely push back on this part, but ultimately agree that I'm pretty hesitant with Chandler too. As I mentioned a few posts up, he's in my "eh" category. I'm not writing him off totally, but I do think he'd certainly be targeted in the playoffs.

Having said that, he shot over 38% from 3 on good volume this season, and including his HS numbers brings that up to just under 40%. The free throw shooting was obviously bad this season, but he was a much more respectable 78% in HS. I think he projects as a potentially very good shooter. I'm pretty sure shooting was considered a major question mark with Lowry back in the day too, but either way, I think shooting is one of Chandler's strengths.

Guys who I believe meet all my criteria who have a reasonable chance of being available:

Roddy
Chandler
Liddell
Moore
Dalen Terry
Jaylin Williams
Keon Ellis

There are probably more but this is off the top.

Except Chandler is excellent on defense.

Mark Williams is going to be a monster. And I could see him developing a passable shot. His attempts didn’t really look awful.

Does anyone think Dalen Terry could give us some of what Dante gave us when he was healthy but with much better length?

I’m worried about Dalen’s off the dribble jumper, and he has a slight hitch in his shot, but he really reads the game well as a 2 guard. Some of his passes and reads were really impressive.

I reaaaaally like Dalen. Kriisa was out for the PAC12 championship game against UCLA and he ran the team perfectly. He's got PG brain and vision with PF length. A lot of the best PGs in college this season spent a ton of time off ball seemingly just because they were taller than the other guard. If he fills out, he's going to be an awesome 2 way player, even if he never gets rid of that crazy elbow movement.
