Mavs finished with the 5th best record in the NBA so they draft 5th from last.

The more I look at guys in our range, I like EJ Liddell.
He is strong, powerful, aggressive, athletic, good WS, great rebounder, solid defender, a decent 3pt shooter and has some touch around the rim.
I think he would fit our system well and brings some power and strength to our frontcourt that we definitely need.
Perfect replacement for Maxi if we decide to move on from him.

I'm not crazy about Kessler.
Big strong shot blocker we could definitely use, but not sure he fits our system.
Seems Kidd would want a more athletic big.

I agree.

Obviously its just videos but Kamagate seems like a better fit.

Again I don't know anything about Kamagate besides what I read. They don't have him as the Mavs pick but description fits the bill of what the Mavs need (They have him going 30)

Beauchamp. 6'6 wing with Mathisse Thybulle potential. I like it.

Tankathon and the Community Mock Draft linked above have Blake Wesley in the Maverick's range. I think the Mavs need to try finding a good SG through the draft. Is he any good?

Find a good SG? I'm all for pick the best talent available despite positional need and if it happens to be a sg, so be it. But that the mavs need to try finding a SG in the draft? More than half of mavs' roster is composed of players, capable of playing the sg, it definitely isn't a position od need.

What mavs need is pf/c, or big sf that really is 3&d. Since we try to win no late 1st round guard will get any minutes

Came across this NBADraft.net site on another forum. They have y'all taking Orlando Robinson in their mock... 6'10", 240 lbs Center out of Fresno State. First time I'm hearing of the player. He seems to have good post-moves with an above average iso game, but I have only watched 1 highlight clip and the scouting report mentions possibly heavy feet on defense.

Malaki Branham could be a good candidate.
Game is a lot like Middleton’s.
Great 3pt shooter and excelent midrange game.
Good defender and decent ball handler.
Not super athletic but very skilled.
Think he’d be a perfect fit.

I'm not crazy about drafting Robinson.
Not sure he has the footwork to fit the Mavs.

If we go big I'm thinking they'll draft Kamagate over Robinson because he'd be a better fit.
Game seems to be a little more like Capela.
More of a weak side defender than post, but seems to have enough athleticism to switch out on screens.
I'd be fine with Kamagate even though he could become another Moses Brown.
I think he'd at least become a better version of Powell and would be a good fit with Luka offensively.

If we can get a 2nd round pick we might want to consider Khalifa Diop. Seems to be a potential sleeper. Strong 6’11 body and decent athleticism with a supposed bully in the paint mentality. Raw but seems to have some skills we could use. Rebounder and defender with a 7’2 WS and has a nice touch in the paint.

I wish we could magically makd 3 b's dissapear. Want omoruyi and pinson to get contfacts next season and whatevdr we do with the pick. Sadly those 3 feels like wasted rosterspots, and prefef having 3 with atleast a chance to develope into rotation players
