Midds was right, timing wasn't on our side this year.

Yup. Really unfortunate.

And Jimmy Butler is absolutely THAT dude. Still can't believe there was another "side" to the debate we had a few years ago when many of us wanted the Bucks to make a play for him. All dog. Would die for the game of basketball.

lol.. completely unbiased take from "JimmyTheKid"

i think everyone understands who Jimmy is. There's a boom/bust thing with him and so far been a lot more bust than boom. Then he goes to a new place and it's always the old place that was **** up.. until the new place becomes the old place. Harden with testosterone injections?

Yea Butler is good but he's left everywhere on bad terms and just tried to physically fight his coach a few weeks ago. combine that with his age/health/contract other off court stuff and there was plenty of nuance to the discussion on if he should have been the move, keeping in mind Middleton is likely the one we'd have traded to get him. Generally speaking, the way the last few years have gone you probably lean towards Butler's side, but there's a very good chance his contract ends up a disaster.

It's come down to Chonestown defending James Two Point Field Goal Attempts. NGL, I pictured my destiny differently.

Here's the squads in which he plied his trade, along with my trademark on-point commentary regarding each franchise.
Chicago: People have been talking and what they have been talking about is this: Chicago is a whore.

Minnesota: Oh, the young cornerstones objected to brusque treatment when their mettle was challenged. You simply don't do that to a pair of hardcore individuals like <checks notes> Pituitary Al B Sure! and Son of a Mitch.

1-2-3-4-5-6ers: A key element of The Process was excising James 2PFGA in order to placate the Shook One aka I Bought the Goatskin Shirts-and-Shorts Combo at Full Retail. Beginning to think the Sixers have management problems.

Miami: Jimmy gets to play Crockett, Spo is on his Ed James Olmos sht, Bam is Tubbs, Milwaukee Legend PJ Tucker is Trudy...some things just make perfect sense.

<Extremely Lamelo Ball voice>
That's a fact.

Point is less about how good Jimmy's been (though he has been very good), and more about how much easier we were to defend without our 2nd best player. Bucks had to defend the whole court vs. Boston whereas Boston could just completely ignore the entire space between the paint and 3PT line. They can't do that vs. Miami.

Boy this game is not like last night’s. Pretty ragged so far.

A little part of me dies when literally any player makes a three.

All of Draymond’s following refs and screaming in their faces and Dinwiddie gets a T for one short outburst?

Yeah he overwhelms them with T-able behavior- they can’t call it ALL.

But I suspect too that most refs like Draymond. It seems that way.

I wonder how Steph decides when to take a 3. Most ppl take them when they’re open/set/in range/etc. But he’s not restricted by any of that.

Luka looks tired, slow, uninterested, etc. All of this because I rostered 100% of him at MVP on FanDuel.

I know everyone is sad and thinking we would dominate the Heat.....which is possible....but I feel this GSW team would have killed us if it came down to GS vs Mil.

Yeah, Giannis gets off but the way we leave 3s open and they have so many shooters I don't think we hang with them. Sure, there is a chance GS misses a whole bunch of open threes for 4/7 games, but I doubt it.

Those last two Poole buckets are why he's such an important piece for them. Just gotta ignore what he does on the other end.

Jimmy Butler on PJ:

He's one of the biggest reasons why we're winning, because he does all the little things. It's easy to follow suit whenever you've got somebody like that leading your team."

We don't need 3s to beat the Warriors. That's why they were the best match up for us. Giannis unstoppable without double team, Jrue and Khris bullying Poole and Curry, Lopez and Bobby big boying in the paint.

Also Lopez will be playable because they always play a non shooter like Draymond or Looney.
GHOSTofSIKMA wrote: I think that we will do worse than last season and that Giannis is now just a mere all star. All because we switched from Bud to Griffin.
