How far did you make it through the series? To me it was basically nothing like Breaking Bad, besides the drugs and violence (which is almost every show, and why I say TV is trash).

i like reading books - how mnay pages is it and how long did it take you to read

Guano wrote:I don't know what's wrong with me but I can't get into TV lately - shows or movies or anime (could add video games to this list too). I want to chalk it up to it feels like a waste of time and im beyond wasting that precious resource but I read this forum and fantasy books so that would be a lie. Something is just off with TV. And it sucks cause there is some entertaining and great art there.

i agree w/ you about tv (not games, manga, anime though 8-)) but you should maybe try watching severance - it's really good. and you should think about my suggestion on xenoblade chronicles ... both are much much better than browsing this forum

i also saw "you've got mail" recently cause my brother's wife recommended it and it's officially the cutest **** movie i've ever watched

DOT wrote:Yeah, I like reading on-offs like that every once in a while to take a break from the super long series

2nd book in this series I'm reading, Hunger of the Gods, just came out and I've been trying to find time for it, but I've been using all my free time to watch One Piece. Finally caught up yesterday, so I have some free time for other things now lol.

i wish i had 10000 hours of time to watch one piece .... i read the first couple hundred chapters of the manga (which were meh but everyone keeps telling me it gets so much better after only several billion more chapters ...) and then life got busy and i never caught back up and i'm too intimidated by how far behind i am to read it again. same thing happened to me w/ tower of god manga

i also heard the one piece anime is vastly inferior to the manga in terms of the artwork - what were your overall thoughts?

Kings of the Wyld is a fairly short and easy read. And while it has a second book in the same realm it's a stand alone adventure. Easy and worthy of a spin.

oh so it's part of an anthology series - that's pretty cool. i'll let you both know if i read it!

Guano wrote:As for gaming I'm afraid I might never go back to it. It's the time a session takes up is too much. I can't sit still and dedicate that much time or I don't know. It gives me mad anxiety. It sucks.

I made it up to the point he was buying property to launder money. Maybe a lil bit into the first season.

Honestly I just couldn't get into it. There was no way I could immerse myself into it. And it wasn't even because all the characters sucked either. I fck with succession. It's the simple fact that Ozark wasn't believable.

I would suggest you didn't give it long enough. I'm very critical of bad acting and bad writing. I cringe at a lot of movies and TV. But this show was incredible, and I'm sure many others here would agree. But to each their own.

You're not the first who has told me I was impatient with it and am missing out. I almost did the same with Halt and Catch Fire and I'm grateful I didn't. Idk it's still in my growing queue maybe I'll fire it back up sometime

This is my plan:
Root for Warriors to win. This will set a chain of events that will lead the Knicks to victory.

Mark Cuban gets desperate. He knows his team needs an upgrade? But where? How? Mark Cuban flips open his guidebook to the 1st page: Acquire as many ex-Knicks as he can. He picks up his phone and calls the Knicks GM, Scott Perry.

We need to send in a bunch of Knicks RealGMers to stop Scott Perry from effin our plan up. But who do we send? Jimmit wants to go but we leave him behind cause he keeps yelping "5/181" and there's a noticeable scar on his face from when a young RJ gave him a frontal wedgie that was so brutal, it left a trauma that Jimmit could never forget. GreenArrow wants to go too, but he keeps yelping like a teenage princess and it's really hard to get him to commit to a plan!!!!!! Plus, the guy keeps wearing flip-flops, and we all know flip-flops are not conducive to an operation like this. That BnO guy wants to come but everyone knows he's a front office shill and probably paying James Dolan for the privilege of brown-nosing. Eventually, we get an ace team...our operation to cut Scott Perry's phone line is a go!

Cuban picks up the phone..."I need Randle" he whispers and moans, "I want Burks, I want Elfrid, I want to see them play with Luka." It's very disturbing how he moans, and even Macri, Elfrid's biggest fan, is weirded out.

All of a sudden, Melo bursts into the room clutching his iso-Melo blankie and underpants......"NOT MY RANDLE!" The Knicks team is beside themselves...this melo guy is selfishly going to stop the team from winning (a familiar sentence to millions of Knicks fans). A desperate decision is made. The prisoner is released. "69 69 69 69 69" the Dick Grayson monster roars out of his cage, rushes melo, and the two disappear into the abyss where NYK Mentality awaits with a stupid grin.

The remaining Knicks fans of RealGM just shake their head and shudder. It can be hard being a Knicks fan, but every time one of them is tempted to give up, they remember that they could have been born New Jersey Nets fans.

...yah I had no idea where I was going with this post. Go Warriors.
