Minnesota was in a no-win situation with him, its hard to get someone with the #1 pick, max extend them, and then say "oh, he's probably better in a support role". That just doesn't happen

He's definitely a guy that needs to be handled with care. But I dont think this is about MIN fans and their experience, its the idea that he's not a key part of our team and its success

Well the thing is he just never appeared to be one of those "little things" type of role players. Didn't rebound well and wasn't really a ballhawk on defense. Wasn't a hustle guy or locker room leader or any of that. He was just a really below average 1st option and not much else.

But he's showed more as that type of role player late this season and these playoffs more than ever. He's hustling, rebounding and even making the occasional clutch basket. Hes sticking his nose in the scrum and fighting for rebounds and loose balls.

I don’t recall many calling him a bust. He was criticized for being overpaid and not a well rounded as a player, which was true at the time and therefore fair IMO. I also don’t remember everybody saying Minny won that trade. I couldn’t believe Minny would include that pick for a guy who was also pretty one dimensional.
