Where do you rank Harden each year from 2012-2020?

Did this for Russ's prime, so let's go with Harden too.

2012: 10th (LeBron, Durant, CP3, KG, Russ, Kobe, Dirk, Wade, Nash above him)
2013: 7th-8th (LeBron, Durant, CP3, Curry, Duncan, Russ above him. Harden is arguable with Kobe)
2014: 8th (LeBron, Durant, CP3, Curry, Griffin, Russ and Love above him)
2015: 5th (CP3, Curry, LeBron, Davis above him)
2016: 8th (LeBron, Curry, Russ, Durant, CP3, Draymond and Kawhi above him)
2017: 6th (LeBron, Curry, Kawhi, Russ, Durant above him)
2018: 2nd (LeBron above him)
2019: 2nd (Kawhi above him)
2020: 4th (LeBron, Davis, Jokic above him)

Didn't include 2021 because it's very hard to rank him given the injuries of that year.

2012: outside top 10
2013: 10th (James, Durant, Paul, Curry, Duncan, Kobe, Wade, Westbrook, Parker)
2014: 8th (James, Durant, Paul, Curry, Griffin, George, Love)
2015: 4th (Curry, James, Paul)
2016: 9th (James, Curry, Durant, Kawhi, Green, Westbrook, Paul, George)
2017: 5th-7th (James, Curry, Durant, Kawhi, Green, with a case for Davis and Westbrook)
2018: 2nd (James)
2019: 3rd-4th (Kawhi, Curry, with a case for Giannis)
2020: 4th (James, Jokic, Davis, Giannis would be higher without injury)

Oh I forgot about Curry in 2019. He actually played a mostly full RS that year and was pretty great in the Playoffs after Durant got hurt. Definitely kind of debatable with Harden at least.

How come Duncan ranks so high in 2013?

Yeah, Curry vs Harden is a close debate. Harden actually outplayed Curry h2h in my opinion in 2019 playoffs, but Curry was extremely impressive in the remaining rounds. That gives him the edge for me.

2013 was a weak year, and it was probably the best season of the latter portion of Duncan's career. He was 1st-Team All NBA, closer to his prime in terms of production, and had a handful of throwback games in the Playoffs, including a 30/17 in game 6 of the Finals.

He was great, and though it still wouldn't have been enough to get him into top 5 most other seasons, 2013 was weak enough for it to be the case (basically the same for KG in 2012).

2012: 15th or so
2013: 10 - 12th (James, Durant, Paul, Curry, Westbrook, Melo, Duncan, Gasol, Griffin, joint with Wade and Parker)
2014: 9th (James, Durant, Paul, Curry, Griffin, Westbrook, George, Love)
2015: 5 - 6th (Curry, James, Paul, Westbrook, joint with Davis)
2016: 7th (James, Curry, Durant, Kawhi, Green, Westbrook)
2017: 5 - 6th (James, Curry, Durant, Paul, joint with Westbrook)
2018: 4th (James, Curry, Durant)
2019: 4th (Kawhi, Giannis, Curry)
2020: 4th (James, Davis, Giannis)
This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.
