Herb Jones should've been on there. I know this isnt a position based award, but I would've taken off one of the 6 bigs (including Draymond and Giannis in that group) and included Herb. But again I know he is a rookie and its pretty hard to pick the name that he should replace.

So ya not saying this is some massive robbery, but ya Herb was freakishly good all year long on the defensive end. I would side with Herb over Matisse.

Yeah at this stage of his career... nah.

Booker though getting a vote is a joke. And I say this as someone who respects the growth he's made on that end. But GTFO with all defense. That's a voter who just intentionally decided he was going to be "edgy" and make a knowingly dumb pick. Should have his vote taken away.

I would have left Thybulle out. He's a fantastic defender, but hard to impact to the level of (for example) Murray when he plays so many fewer minutes.

The new blue is blinding.

And yeah Herb 100% should have made it over Thybulle.

Remember last year or the year before, there was a guy who voted both Drummond and Whiteside as his DPOY picks. Yeah, some voters need to be examined, and I bet the do get examined after picks get publsihed.

Media members have about as much credability as bam fans. At least the AS starters is a openly known as popularity vote.

Haha Howard pulled me back in.

And ya to be clear this isnt me saying I think Thybulle is undeserving. Basically everything points to him being an elite defender. Great DRAPM, top 3 in deflections, holding opposing shooters to 5% under expected shooting %, top 3 in steals per 100, Philly was 4 points per 100 better defensively with him on the court.

Pretty much everything points to him being an elite defender and all of those stats favor Thybulle over Herb. So ya definitely not calling this a robbery. And mostly going off the eyeball test on this. But ya watched Herb all year long and in my opinion he was a top 10 defender this year. Dude was a freak on that end.

Yep, I completely agree. Also, I think he benefits a ton from Embiid. Thybulle’s defense is high-energy and he does a lot of gambling. It would look a lot worse without a top 3 rim protector in the league covering up all the times Thybulle blows his defensive assignment because of a stupid gamble.

No single point for Wiggs? Really? And Bridges is on the 1st team? So the gap between these two is astronomical???

Yes the defensive gap between Wiggins and Bridges is very big.
