Finished Outer Range and hope they make more seasons of it just so I can figure out if they know what they're doing. I enjoy it, it's well-acted, the characters feel human and the places feel lived-in, and I am not sure if the story makes any sense and specifically if the behavior of key characters jibes with things that are revealed about them.

The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine were incredible, imo, I'd give them another shot. Both on the writing side and the slightly-cheeseball side of things.

DS9's "Past Tense" in Season 3 was an amazing 2 part arc that, well, it didn't quite hit the nail on the head as to what 2024 would look like, but it hit the ball in the ballpark.

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

To be fair and honest, though, I've never seen an episode of any Star Trek show, so when I haven't actually given it a chance. And I like literally every movie.

At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

The Northman and The Courier were both very good.

Good first episode. If you liked Bosch you'll enjoy the continuation. Ads aren't too bad. 3 of them, 45,60 and 90 seconds.

I'm 4 eps in and they've done a really good job of keeping things fresh while keeping us in the same world.

Do you listen to/watch Office Hours? I don't catch it all the time but I think that might fill my Stern Show vacuum once he retires for good. Tim is building a nice comedy network. He's a genius weirdo and I love it.

No, but I'll watch a clip on twitter here or there. Podcast-style shows don't really fit into my schedule these days. I am an annual HEI Network subscriber, though.

Better Call Saul mid season finale
Spoiler:
This death hit me as hard as any in the BB/BCS universe. Almost everyone who dies in these shows faces the consequences of their actions and in some way had it coming with their actions/involvement with dangerous people, but Howard was legitimately a decent if not good human being who had zero reason to die. And the worst part is they ruined his professional and personal image and he’ll be remembered as a drug addict who lost his **** and tanked their case. I’m messed up.

Spoiler:
that surprised me too. Lalo showing up at Jimmy's was expected as some point once you knew he was in Albuquerque but I didn't expect him at that moment and then shooting Howard.

The whole thing with Lalo and Gus is a waste of time IMO since we know how Gus and Mike die and it's not now and not by Lalo.

Spoiler:
brutal way for howard to go out. I like the lalo/gus storyline. we dont know how/when lalo dies. There is mention of him in breaking bad, but he may or may not be dead at that point
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

BCS

Spoiler:
Howard was a douche, but that was brutal.
Wouldn't be a Gilligan show if there weren't pretty much only bad guys hurting the (relatively) innocent.

I have alwyas thought, and this only solidifies it, that Kim isn’t getting a happy ending.
"This is my home, this is my city...I'm blessed to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks for the next 5 years. Let's make these years count. The show goes on, let's get it."
