We'll be fine...there's always another scapegoat. Vuc's ghost still seems to be the principal concern around here. Or Martins, who hasn't been seen around the facility in 5 years but is still "pulling the strings".

On the other hand, bashing Vucevic in every other post an year and a half after he left is completely fine and not a sign of an obsession. Right?

Bamba is a free agent and Vuc was our highest-paid player.

Coby White for Mo? POR protected 1st? Anything else the Bulls have that would realistically be on the table?

I like Coby but I think he fits in the mold of several players that we already have.

"Never afraid of to shoot the three" to me is "only looking for shooting threes". And that's annoying on a "big man".
But in reality he;s not a big man, he's just tall. The only "big man" thing he does is blocking shots.
Sad how everything turned with Mo and I hope we can get something in return for him.
At this point I don't care much, we have other priorities. But yes...another top 10 pick wasted :banghead:

it's a shame so many talented young players get drafted by inept organizations that have so much turnover on the coaching staff and in the front office. You can't expect kids to develop on tanking teams, playing alongside other kids, losing time to injuries and minutes to less talented guys because the coach likes them more than feels the need to develop talent. It's almost guaranteed to be a sign and trade likely on draft night with picks attached.

Sounds like Nesmith or Langford...I'd love a crack at rehabbing Nesmith's career before he ends up in Australia.

Shame Dallas has nothing I'd really want out side Brunson (I wanted to draft him). Watching them Bamba would probably be really good for them. Bamba Ross package would be good for them but not much I'd want on Dallas
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

Here's what Welt is already paying his bigs in 2022-23:

Isaac -- $17.4 million
Carter -- $14.2 million
Jabari or Chet -- #1 pick money (last season Cade made $10.1 million)

You have your highest-paid player and your third-highest paid player at C and PF, along with the #1 pick. So do you pay Mo, or invest that money somewhere else? I'd rather spend money on a wing. A sign-and-trade would be preferable, but even letting him walk for nothing would be better than tying up $12 million+ a year on a multi-year deal.

That's not really the case with Bamba. He has gotten opportunities this year and in a contract year he mailed it in except for some performances here and there. He doesn't have the fire to be a consistent impact player and lacks the intangibles to be someone you can rely on.

So many teams playing small, it doesn't make sense to invest in bigs that can only play C.

I just dont see the room for him, with our #1 pick, Isaac (hopefully), than WCJ. And there's Okeke too and theres been no proof that Bamba is better than Moe Wagner either. I wouldnt sign him more than a year.
Keep Isaac
