Good for Smart, he's played well, but come on man.

Yeah not a big fan of just adding variables with super arbitrary cutoffs until you get the result you want aka doing a Thad Young graphic:

But that's Orlando. I don't believe in geographical cures.
But get Bamba with BS, Ime and Gang Green, and there's
your young stretchy rim protector.
That's the ticket yo

Yeah getting a bunch of people who failed elsewhere and have shown lack of dedication is the way to spend scarce resources. While we're at it, let's go get Marvin Bagley and Bol Bol, too.

One person. A Mo Bamba flyer.
What's the matter? Where's the risk?

No doubt but where are the available low risk high reward guys that could connect with our guys.

You waste a roster spot that can go to a G-leaguer.
It's a small amount of opportunity cost all things considered but the expected benefit is also extremely small. Why bother? Just sign a Javonte Green or a Max Strus instead.

Can't really describe it completely but it has elements of confidence and enthusiasm that have taken a blow with this team. I've never seen a Celts squad like this in all my years. Incredible highs and incredible, again not in the good sense of that word, lows.
This core is experienced and veteran. They've been here before. So it's maddening and frustrating no end. The wild swings should not be happening at this point. Except for perhaps two explanations. Not excuses, but explanations.
One is it seems clear Tatum isn't really the kind of superstar that can carry a team. He's not much more than a glorified streak shooter that gets incredibly hot. I've seen quite a few of them in my days.
Another is it seems clear the sum of what Timelord brings is way way more than his part with the team. So, perhaps someone can help me piece this part together. Are the incredible highs when he is in the lineup, and the terrible lows happening when he's not? Last nite for instance he was out and we witnessed some of the most putrid Celtics playoff basketball in the 1st half I can ever remember seeing. How about the other games? I can't piece it all together myself with him being in then being out, team being up then being down. Do they coincide?

Tatum has had arguably only 2 bad games in this playoff, the most recent game and game 3 of Milwaukee series. He struggled with scoring efficiency in the game of 2 of the Nets series but had 10 assists. He scored 29 or more in 8 of 14 games. The Tatum is inconsistent meme needs to end.
