I also saw in a SBNATION article that Baldwin had the second worst lane agility time and the fourth worst three-quarters court sprint.

Yeah..that's a no. Even Kyle Anderson, who is slow, is effective in the NBA because he actually has a great handle and can get to wherever he wants because of it. This guy looks like he got away with being bigger than everyone else. His shooting % are horrible as well.

A guy who didn't shoot well but intrigues the crap out of me is Jaden Hardy and I will stay on that bandwagon

I have been wondering if the Wolves 3 2nd round picks could have a bit more value than what would typically be expected. First, this years draft kind of flattens out after the lottery with some really interesting options almost certain to be on the board at 40 and probably even out to 50. Second, there are 2 less 2nd round picks due to league penalties. Third, it seems like in more recent drafts there are more second round picks who turn into rotation players than 5-10 years ago.

Ideally I'd like to see the Wolves move up a few spots from #19 or consolidate the 2nds into a pick in the #31-35 range.

I have chronic back and ankle issues, and I think I might be able to outjump Patrick Baldwin Jr. Dear Lord.

Where would #19 + McDaniels get us?

I don't know, but there's no one in this draft worth trading McDaniels for.

I’m not saying you’re wrong but that’s a very bold take.

Yeh, I walked it back a bit. I'd trade him for the top 3 guys, after that no.

My other point was that there's no one worth it for where we end up with 19+McDaniels. I wouldn't trade him for AJ Griffin or Johnny Davis or Mark Williams or Jeremy Sochan, etc. And that package won't get us into the top 3.

It makes me wonder if the ankle is still bothering him. If not...yeah, absolutely brutal showing for him.

I'd still take a shot on him. But with either 48 or 50.

Too much. I'd not trade Beasley to move up from 19 to 8. Let alone Beasley, Reid and 2023 FRP

Had a chance to look at Dieng some. He reminds me more of a Batum type. Wouldn't mind someone like that for sure. Good handle and playmaking ability, nice defense 1-4, long good athlete, jumper needs work but only 18.

Batum was athletic, at some point he was top rebounder at his position in POR. I don't see this toughness in Dieng. But Batum was also a quality point forward, one of the best PnR passer in NBA. I see this in Dieng, and any combination of Towns and big wing who can shoot, pass and slash would be lethal.

Jalen Williams should be our target. 6'6" with 7'2" wing. Will be a great 3-D anchor next to Edwards.

He's intriguing from the little I've heard. Need to dive deeper.

Should be … could be … would be … all signs of “I have no idea” syndrome. The most dangerous phrases in the modern era.

Of course no one knows how these prospects will turn out. Doesn't stop the draft from happening though.

I think the anticipated top three are all overrated, especially Chet. I do like Ivey’s potential though because he has elite athleticism but he is a weak shooter and tends to choke in big moments.

I’ve got a lot of concerns about his lateral quickness that might limit his ability to defend at the NBA level.

But offensively he’s about as complete a package as I’ve seen in a good while.

Unless Ivey goes to Detroit or Indiana I could see him busting hard.

He’s a much worse playmaker/passer than anyone seems to want to admit and his defence isn’t great. His closest statistical comp is actually LaVine, although without the shooting and is that a player you take in the top half of the lottery?

I think he has another gear he hasn’t really shown. One of the most athletic players who tested at the combine. 39” vertical. One of the fastest sprint times.
