I expect some shakeups this offseason, I really would not be surprised if there were some moves made.

I happy with this move, Willie has played a BIG role in helping our younger players grow up.

Good for you then, but...

I think we're going to have a wasted year next season if Omar doesn't make a BIG splash to bolster the front end of our rotation. I think Willie will be, in effect, a lame duck manager. I honestly think the decision to retain him was based more on owing him 2 more years of his contract. If we didn't, he would not have been retained. I think it's the wrong decision to make, based on money. I'm not sure the players will respond to him more next season, than they did this season (which was almost no response... he doesn't have a pulse in the dugout). But whatever, I'll continue to root for the team. I just think he's not going to be able to manage effectively through even more scrutiny about his job, and not having some of the player's ears next season.

Rumor has it that Omar undermined Willie's authority in the clubhouse. Players had Omar's ear and Willie was largely ignored. Given the culture, I don't doubt that for a minute.
