Re: 2022 NBA Draft Part II
This draft class is way better than most are giving it credit for. It just isn't as top heavy and lacks PG star power for sure. Plenty of serviceable bigs can be found, who should be in the league for 10+ years. The end of the draft is where you are going to find value simply because it combines two senior classes basically.

I was going to post this in the Daniels thread but i guess the forums too dead these days to use those.
I havent even been following him closely. I figured Pistons wouldnt be considering him but maybe we will. Thoughts?

He's has wing size with lead guard ability and has a better looking jump shot than the majority of Australian prospects. He is just a basic athlete.

I have him at #6 for me , so I love this. I’m probably slightly bias as an Australian though

If his jumper improves him being one of the 5 best players in this draft would not be much of a surprise.

Great shot, plus athlete, excellent motor.
Kid is going to be a great 4th starter type. IDK how he is getting SRP chatter, dude is about the 15th best prospect in the draft.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Part II
Serious question:
Is Ochai going to be a demonstrably better pro than other upperclassmen wings like Christian Braun, Wendell Moore, Jr, Andrew Nemhard or Jalen Williams?

probable, I think he's got the easiest path to success in the NBA as a 3/D guy. he already has NBA level athleticism and shooting.
his biggest Q is general BBIQ but as long as his role is straightforward he can do some damage.

Ochai is Malik Beasley with better defensive effort and better understandings of his role IMO.

The more I watch of Procida, the more I doubt he would ever slip to the 2nd round. Looking more high teens low 20's.

Ya man, 100%.
Such an underrated athlete. At least vertically, the dude is in a really high albeit not quite elite tier for his size. He can really get up. The only European swing men who I can say with no doubt is a better athlete probably is Manu, Batum and AK47
Have not seen enough to comment on lateral agility / athleticism, but he can be a real asset running the floor on the break with his ability to get up and finish.

I'm not sure he's quite the shooter Malik is, but not a bad comparison. Ochai should have a small size advantage, and I think he has a little better handle than Malik.

Anyone who has better knowledge on this guy would care to share what's the big differences between say him and Braun?
Braun:
Height without shoes: 6'5.5"
Wingspan: 6'6.5"
Procida:
Height without shoes: 6'5.75"
Wingspan: 6'8.75"
Both are good sized 2 guards (height wise), with below average wingspans, with nice looking shots, and are plus athletes.

Agreed. Tyler Herro Peja Vibes.
If Max Strus can get meaningful playoff mins Procida sure projects too.
I wouldn’t blink if my Bulls picked him at 18. Don’t think he makes it to the 2nd.

His lateral ability isn’t that great. Hurts him defensively. He makes up for some it with his motor and IQ. Don’t see him in ver being a great defender though. Everyone was wrong about Deni for the same reasons though.
Offensively, he can’t really get around anyone unless on a break. He can make up for that by shooting over them and by step backs. I think he will be able to do both well in the future.

Manu is from Argentina. Manu plays for the Argentinian national team. Argentina is not located in Europe.

Is Procida's wingspan actually below average? I'm thinking his wingspan may actually be exactly average. Procida's standing reach is exceptional making him be able to play taller than his height would suggest.

He has Italian citizenship so he is half right
Praying for Burrow
