Jalen Williams may end up going lottery. Wings with that crazy length, BBIQ, and vertical that he displayed are what’s driving the NBA right now. He doesn’t play with the athleticism his testing numbers showed. Has kind of a slow, old man game to him.

And I don’t expect Chet to bust. I’m with Mike Schmitz. He showed about 20% of his offensive game at Gonzaga. Lights out shooter. High BBIQ. Has decent handle for a big man. Is the best rim protector in the class. And can slide his feet decently on the perimeter. I think he plays PF for several years before moving to center.

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes earlier than 19 though. If you buy that potential (i.e. 6-6 lengthy PnR handler with a shot) then there's some playoff/fringe playoff teams above us that could use him. Cleveland and Atlanta, for example. Hell, the Knicks might even be interested.

Roddy is such a weird prospect. He needs to lose about 20 pounds to gain a bit of extra quickness on the perimeter, but I don't know how easy that would be since he's mostly muscle (which is insane at 6-6 260).

Otherwise the skill and IQ is there. So yeah, wouldn't be upset if they got him at all.

I like his game, but the 8'7.5" standing reach is what jumps out to me. That's an inch shorter than Grant Williams. The only PF i can think of with a shorter reach is Brandon Clarke, who is an athletic freak. Can he switch on to guards? I'm not sure.

With Connelly, the Wolves are destined to draft Nikola Jovic...

If Connelly can somehow end up with two of Sochan, Hardy , Jalen Williams and Jovic I will be happy.

I hope not.

Jovic is too slow to guard the perimeter, too thin to guard the interior and is more of a ball dominant playmaker than we need. The size is nice but the rest is...eugh.

At 19 I'd be good with Jovic. He has a ton of offensive skill, and he's a bit bigger than expected. 19(He's actually not quite 19 yet) and 6'11 223 is pretty nice, he should bulk up even more and be a 4-5 with those skills going forward.

I'm a huge fan of drafting a guy and letting him sit in Europe for a year to get a lot of playing time. If the Wolves bring back Price, and sign vets with MLE and BAE, they will be at 14 players. There isn't really room for a rookie and not having to pay a FRP 3-4 million will help Connelly/Gupta stay under the tax. I'm all for drafting Jovic - he reminds me of Lauri Markkanen, who has turned out into a solid pro.

He’s a local kid, but Vecenie and his cohost both said that Roddy and Leonard Miller were the two guys that struggled the most in the combine scrimmages. Roddy couldn’t hit shots against NBA length/athleticism or have the quickness to stay in front of people. Limited sample size, so take it for what it’s worth.

Clarke has T-Rex arms, but still can be effective
