Itll def help.............but i think his lack of traditional Nba athleticism (hes athletic in his own way for his game) is always gonna limit what he can do on defense even with more muscle better shape

Sure, he'll always be limited and he'll always have trouble defending penetration, but a lot of what I'm seeing out there is pure laziness. With his size and general basketball intelligence/instincts there's no reason he shouldn't be at least passable. So often tonight, he was just guarding nobody, specifically later in the shot clock.

Pretty sure that's a hard yes.

But not generally for his defense....

The one thing I didn't appreciate about LeBron James is how much winning a championship gave him and his team's confidence.

The Warriors look head and shoulders and chest muscles over so many teams in terms of morale.
The Greatest of All Time debate in basketball is essentially who has the greatest basketball resume of the player who has the best highlights instead of who is the best player

Ppl are gonna look at his PPG the last 2 games like he dominated but hes gotten a good 12 PPG the last 2 4th quarters with game basically over

ehh, it was not really garbage time if there was a realistic chance of a comeback, which there was

that said, i agree his scoring volume overstates his impact at this point in time

Yeah but that's more because of what he's doing (or not doing) on the other end.

You're right. I used to enjoy watching him too but I think with playoffs you get these intense games and you're watching with so much more focus. The bad or annoying habits stand out and can quickly sour you on a player.

Also, not sure if he's taken his flopping to a new level this year. Don't remember it being this bad before.

Wiggins can go ahead and buy a house in the bay. Don't think Bob is gonna let him go at this point

Warriors offense so much deadlier than Phoenix (CP3 injury caveat goes here). Just much harder for Dallas to guard the second and third actions

Curry has pretty clearly been better than Doncic this series imo, not sure if thats a consensus here.

Thoughts?

Love how Ernie called it a mid air flop by Luka on Inside.

No question in my mind. He's been way better on defense and also better on offense. As great as Luka's raw numbers are, it doesn't seem to match up with actual impact. Mavs offense have looked anemic for much of this series and given how they've given him all the keys to the offense, it's hard not to assign responsibility to him for that.

Hes been better on both ends. Lukas had some end of game PPG bump up when the game was out of hand but he has struggled attacking Wiggins and Looney all series

Defensively Steph has been alot better

luka is gonna be 24 next season

lebron (2009), jordan (88) had breakthrough seasons around that age, leaping into goat tier seasons

if luka is gonna keep pace with them (unlikely) we should start seeing signs of it next year

Without any question.

Which I'll admit has surprised me. I thought Luka would play better than this. But his poor defense is undoing a lot of the good he has managed against an elite defense.

The Suns also really look like paper tigers in retrospect with getting embarrassed by Dallas meanwhile GSW in about to sweep or win in 5 at max.
