They are devastated. I think this is a very good deal, he's paid like a top POBO should be, but it's still fair value and 5 years is great. Very excited that we have a proven top notch guy. Will be curious to see what happens to Gupta, and how this staff will take shape in the coming weeks.

I’m really excited for the Wolves with this signing. it looks like y’all have the stars aligning with new ownership, new management, good coaching, and Ant Edwards. Can’t wait to see how this team builds over the next 3-5 years.

I'd hope so. Gupta would fit nicely with helping on trades and contracts (not like Connelly is bad, but MPJ contract and trade where he gave up pick and got the lesser player were the noticeable blemishes when Dane was talking with a Denver reporter).

I haven’t seen anything regarding a 2nd FO signing. Where did you see/hear this?

As of now, it sounds like we are keeping Gupta, if that's true, then this looks really good. We don't lose anything, we just gain and Sachin may bring some strengths that Connelly could lack.

For the front office, I don't think it has ever been about "replacing" Gupta. The question that comes is whether Gupta will be happy here being passed over or if he will search for greener pastures.

Fantastic news. Gupta looks to be great at handling contracts, and both are great drafters.

It is pretty amazing to think that Connelly has built a team when healthy(or at least has Murray) that will be WCF's contenders, and he's never had a top 5 pick. Only 2 #7s.

Technically each franchise structures things as they see fit. Basically Connelly will be the top decision-maker and Sachin will be under him.

Very excited about draft day now. Connelly is an excellent talent evaluator, up there with the best of them in the league...hopefully Gupta handles the contracts, lol.
