I’d do that in a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I go back and forth on Sexton
He's clearly talented and scores at a high rate on decent efficiency, but the Cavs have pretty consistently been better without him than with him
He has the game where his fit as a #2 is questionable at best, but he's not good enough to be a #1
He gives us what we need, but is it enough, and would he be a good fit next to a potential future #1?
If we're just offloading vets, and we extend him for under $25 mil per, that might be a decent gamble. But if we're consolidating youth/picks for him and giving him a full max, that's a substantial risk that I'm not comfortable with.

The Knicks are over the cap. They can't sign Sexton or anyone else to an offer sheet. They can try to negotiate a s'n't with the Cavs, but that's something completely different and they cannot exert pressure on the Cavs in the way that a team would can sign a player to an offer sheet can.
