Here's a nice, short, great clip: David Robinson blocking Michael Jordan's dunk attempt

Post#1 » by GSWFan1994 » Tue May 24, 2022 5:34 pm

A rare sight to see: peak Jordan being blocked on a dunk attempt.

Just appeared today on my YT feed. I've never seen it. Enjoy.

I dedicate this post to Phraudcat, who will soon follow this post with a "Michael Jordan about to be exposed" thread.

Physically he was an absolute specimen. Something out of a greek myth.

Robinson may have been the only center at the time who was athletic enough to read and react to MJ's drives and get in position to contest the shot in time.

Admiral usually gets left out of GOAT big convos but he’s really right there with them. Super AD.

Beast. It's laughable when people try to compare dudes like Ayton to The Admiral

As I remember it, Jordan got challenged and owned quite a bit. He was so creative and inventive with his moves that he'd try a lot of different stuff, and a lot of it didn't work. Even the failures were fun to watch though.

I love that 6’10 Kevin Durant is listed at 240, and David Robinson is listed at 235.

Robinson dropped 72 points in a game once.

If you look hard enough, you'll also see that Jordan missed jumpers as well. Crazy, I know lol

Robinson is one of the greatest defenders ever at the C position. He was good with help defense.

I have him ahead of Shaq in my books because I value defensive and offensive accomplishments for centers.

Hakeem just slightly above Robinson.

But Admiral is tied with Barkley as my two all time favourites...as a suns fan it was conflict of interest.

Probably one of the most underrated players ever. Overshadowed by Shaq & Hakeem, but he was damn near as impactful as they were. Better than Ewing, imo.
