I wonder if Indy would trade 31 and our 2023 pick for 14 and us dumping Windler on them. Would free up about 7 million vs the cap this year and having a full slate of #1 picks available to trade would be nice. We could spend the non taxpayer MLE and look to be aggressive in the trade markets.

I like the kid from Ohio State. Great mid range which can stretch out to the 3 point line. Him and Mobley in the PNR and he is a scorer with size who can hopefully give help to Garland. HIs lateral quickness needs some help - but that is my guy

Unless the F.O. hates everyone left on the board, this would be ill-advised. If things work out as we hope, this is the last time the Cavs should be picking in this area for awhile (and if disaster strikes next season, the 2023 pick is still lotto protected).

The Sixers traded Mikal Bridges to the Suns the last year they were in the lottery and have been regretting it ever since.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

“It’s a tough one for me because I have such a unique game,’’ Daniels said when asked about his NBA comparison. “I have a very good offensive game but I’m a good defender. On the offensive end I play a little like Tyrese Haliburton, someone in control. I feel on the defensive end I’m like Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso, people like that. I feel I have the frame once the game slows down for me I hope to develop into a Luka Doncic-type role.’’

Daniels measured over 6-foot-7 with a wingspan just under 6-foot-11 while weighing 195 pounds and having 4.9% body fat at the combine.

That unique frame, combined with his athleticism, vision, playmaking and defensive versatility, makes him a potential top 10 pick -- even with looming questions about the reliability of his outside shot. When taking into account both the Ignite Tour and the G league Showcase season, Daniels went 30-of-100 (30%) from 3-point range. One scout who has seen Daniels said the shot isn’t “broken,” but needs “tweaks.”

I wouldn't be so sure he's not there at No. 14. I think both he and Ivey could fall due to concerns over shooting. Also, other guys have had impressive combines and/or pro days. If players are rising, other players are falling.

A lot of people over on the draft board seem to be very high on Jalen Williams. He could be another prospect to keep an eye on as he’s one of the highest draft stock risers recently.

Fedor reported that there's some interest in Jalen Williams and Dalen Terry, possibly even at 14.

Wings that can defend a little and or shoot a little are in demand. If they can create or distribute the ball even more. I would not have an issue with either player if the Cavs pick them at 14.

Fedor added Marjon Beauchamp to the list of guys we're looking at. The list is long enough now that we really should be looking at trading down.

lol, the only limit on the number of guys we should be looking at is their patience and our time; but the Cavs are going to sort these guys out in to different tiers and there may or may not be enough players left in the highest tier when 14 rolls around to warrant a trade down.

Altman will do his best to not let his intentions known to prevent another team from trading up to get our guy and/or to influence Charlotte who has picks at 13 & 15. So, assuming the Cavs want a wing, expect the Cavs to let it be known they like a non-wing that Charlotte seems interested in.

Alas, leaks do happen, and if one does happen then Altman will loose some rumors to try to make it unclear which rumor is accurate.

In other words, expect nothing useful from Fedor (in terms of rumors) until it's too late to matter.
