Admittedly, I fell asleep after the Hairston HR. I figured no way in hell Hoffman would blow a save of this magnitude.
Fortunately, the gf woke me up just in time to see Holliday score the winning run, but boy was I confused.
btw. Holliday is no question the MVP again, after potentially losing it with his misplay and strikeouts.

It certainly appears that Atkins hit that home run, so there were two blown calls last night that had a big impact. Not sure you can use the umpires to complain.
That game was absolutely incredible. A game I won't soon forget. A team that has made the playoffs once in its 15 year existence, has routinely been not close, and has management that has said "two more years" for the last 10 - this is what Denver baseball fans deserve.

Wait who has the better record I believe it was the Rockies! What was the Padres record against the Rox this year? 8-11? Yea I was right before the better team won.
Padres got cold at the end after being better for almost the entire season, Rockies got hot with a few weeks left. Congrats on the win (even if it's somewhat tainted), but from top-to-bottom, the Padres are a better team. You guys were fortunate to catch Peavy and Hoffman on maybe the worst day of their season.

Both have bad track records in big game, post season play. I knew Peavy wouldn't dominate yesterday and had a feeling the Rockies weren't done down 2 in the B13.High 5 wrote:-= original quote snipped =-

Padres lost 6 of last 7 vs. COL..so much for being the better team. Way to show up.

Really because I always thought that Peavy and Hoffman weren't very good against the Rox, wait a second they aren't!
Peavy is 4-5 against the Rox all time but I guess we just caught him on 5 bad days definately wasn't the Rockies being the better team im such an idiot your right.
Hoffman's ERA in Coors is what above 5, but we just catch him on bad days when hes at Coors right? Hoffman is known to choke in big moments you should know that. But it's because of the thin air meloman!
Two words Brian Fuentes he has been an all star closer the past 3 years in Coors and is now an all star set up man so don't even think about giving me that excuse.
Keep saying the Padres are better than the Rox when the stats say otherwise I don't care the better team won and it's too bad you can't accept that.
Padres 8-11 against the Rox this year one more time for you. That means the Rockies are better and your just underrating the players which is what people have been doing all year. It's like the old adage if I can't see you you can't see me right!!! Because people don't watch the Rockies at all they just pretend like they just must not be that good because you haven't heard of them right? Give me a break man.

EDIT: Don't know how I missed this your right the win was tainted because it should of been over when Atkins jacked that homer and never should of gone to extras, but hey Karma is a bitch right?

Sure. I don't really see what you're accomplishing here. The Pads could be the best team in history - they're done and the Rocks aren't. The Rockies peaked at the right time, the Padres didn't.

I'm not trying to accomplish anything. Just giving my opinion. The bolded part was my point.
Didn't think the Rockies fan would get so offended. My bad.

Not exactly great stuff. He just blew back to back hugely important games. He sucked in the all star game. He's overrated. He's a level below the best closers of all time. End discussion.
Oh you're a Boston fan? Well in that case, Red Sux blow!
His vehemence is what makes him great.

I am not offended I just think you should give the Rockies credit, you act as if the Padres lost it, and that is simply not the case especially against that team and those pitchers. Rockies have been better than the Padres this year end of story, to say they weren't is ridiculous. I was just calling you out on it. Rockies should get some respect yea they got hot at the end but THAT IS WHAT YOUR SUPPOSED TO DO!!!
EDIT: If your going to take shots at my team ill defend them especially when I know im right sorry I had to keep it real.

^^^ When keeping it real goes wrong!
I DONT LIKE PEOPLE PLAYING WITH MY PHONE! I KEEPS IT REAL!
