I love all Deuce content that was cold-blooded though haha
I love Tatum always bringing Deuce around it's so wholesome. But I gotta say... that boy is 5 why does he carry him off the court all the time like he's an infant? He can walk lol

Still a low small sample but gotta love Grant's contributions this season. Having the ability to guard KD, Giannis, then Bam alone is invaluable for our defense.

Grant’s development and chemistry with Marcus and Jays has been huge for the franchise.
When Al starts to fade due to age, our team is pretty well set with RW and Grant starting and Theis/Al as reserves. It would be nice to replace Al’s length and strength with a young big and cementing the shooter off the bench this off-season.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

He's saving his legs for game 7, 2042 championship.
Boston Celtics vs Mexico City Aztecs.
Deuce is averaging 62 points and 12 assists per game, although the advent of the 4, 5 and 6 point lines makes that a little less impressive than it sounds.

You have kids? You carry them off to get them somewhere quicker. If he doesn’t pick deuce up that kid gonna stay on the court all day and refuse to leave.

Haha fair point. I have no kids so wouldn't know
Deuce just seems so damn big to be carrying to me lol. But I guess Tatum is 6'10" himself so whole different scale of humans from my midget self lol

I've got three...but my post wasn't serious. I'm actually not sure whether we'll be playing Mexico City in the 2042 championship. There's some chance it's the Hawaiian Islanders.

Grant Williams: Extend or not extend prior to next season
I know he sucked last two rounds, but he’s too valuable vs Milwaukee to trade or let walk after next year.
Do you guys want to keep him and if so what’s the contract? I’d love to do a weight incentive 5 year deal around 12M a year.

Definitely try to if we can. Clearly getting better each year and will be critical given every path to the finals will go through Giannis
Something that looks like the RWIII contract probably makes sense (perhaps a bit more for inflation)

I dig it. Get it done.
But I guess it will again depend on how much ownership is willing to spend and if FO is on the hunt for a 3rd max/near-max player.
But whether I think Grant is a playoff rotation player moving forward, yep he is. Still young and room to improve. Great guy to have around. Just don't mic him up again.

Nobody's paying Grant $12M per. Celts have the right to match. I'd let him sign an Offer Sheet, and match. I can't see him getting more than the mid-level anyway.
What you're proposing is like being the only guy interested at an auction, and as the auctioneer keeps bumping the number, you keep topping it. Don't bid against yourself, especially when you can match. And if the Celtics say they will match, teams are even more reluctant to tie up funds, but I just don't see Grant value at the number that you're proposing.

Re: Grant Williams: Extend or not extend prior to next season
$10 mil or less would be good. The cap is going to slowly increase in a significant way over a few years with the new TV coming in.
So it's a good idea to lock guys up now.

First two years of a Grant extension would be before the new deal, but more or less.

Anyone have any idea how weight incentives could work? It’d be good if they could get a deal done ahead of time to try to get some weight incentives in there.

Yup, so ideally it would be for 4 or more years.
Of course ideally we also make a pretty big trade this offseason that changes things and we just lock up him or Pritchard as the remaining guys around that aren't already locked in.
Either way it's a good idea to lock people in now even if it's above market value for the next 2.
