For a good team which one would you say is more impactful?

Someone that scores as well as Magic Johnson with his efficiency and volume?

Or someone that pplaymakes and passes as well as Manu Ginobili?

Magic's scoring from which season? There's a notable range in his volume.

Also beyond that, hard to consider this question in isolation because of the relationship between scoring and passing, and how one influences the other. And also, are we considering Magic's STYLE of scoring, as well?

Magic was as efficient near the paint as any non big in history besides Bron

that has far more value than Manus flashy passing

Yeah I changed the title , it is a interesting thought though about which skillet is more impactful in terms of ceiling raising

Though I wouldn’t put him on Magics level. Manu was an excellent playmaker

Manu’s playmaking is really good but can be a bit wild at times. I don’t see what difference it makes if it’s on a good or bad team. Magic’s scoring probably gets slept on a bit, so I guess if you tell each one to focus on each of those i’d take Magic’s scoring. Manu’s passing great, but he doesn’t have point guard handles or vision.

It really depends on the characteristics of others on the team. Like if Manu Ginobili joined the NBA in 1987-88 and landed on the Utah Jazz roster where he stays until the end of his career, how many titles does he help Stockton and Malone win?
