Can't you just draft Hardy and keep Zach?

Hardy shot 35% from the field, 27% from 3, had more turnovers than assists.

The guy is at best a project, at worst a complete bust. Asking him to slot in for Lavine immediately is pie in the sky talk.

My point is, watch the player. Stats are contextual.

I like Diabate as a 3rd big. Could be a future full time C as he fills in. More explosive Dwight Powell Maxi Kleiber type. JJJ lite.

It will take Brown some time but his energy and D will play day one. His shot probably playable year 2 and his handle and inbetween game hopefully 5-7 rotation player by year 3.

I'd do that deal in a heartbeat. With those picks we could probably draft Kendall Brown and a shooter like Procida or Beachamp, OR Kendall Brown and a big like Walker Kessler. I'd like 2 chances to add a rotation player since we don't have a 1st Rounder next year.

For me it depends on who falls to 18, but in a vacuum I'd be all over this.

Unless they have someone they are targeting I don’t see MEM being interested.

Targeting a player is the only reason anyone moves up. But I agree -- unless Memphis really likes someone, the better value play is to stand pat.

Hardy was a high volume guy in a tougher setting than college. I think there's some hope there. Depends on his intangibles probably.

But you are comparing an undersized SG to a 6'7" PG. And what made Ball a high level prospect was his overall game not his shooting.

Kuminga: .374 FG%, .264 3P%, 2.5 assists, 4.3 TOV

We're in the stone age of translating G League Ignite stats to the NBA.

There are lots of reasons to be skeptical of Hardy, but posting inefficient splits in a grown man's league shouldn't be high on that list.

Kuminga? The guy on GS that played 2 minutes last night? Jaden Green averaged 17 ppg on 46% shooting in his season. G league doesn't equal bad shooting.

Kuminga is a stud. You can't watch him at length and come away with another impression.

My mind is pretty expanded. Hardy could be a nice scorer, but it’s not happening anytime soon. And the majority of players drafted where he’ll get drafted amount to nothing, so nothing I’ve said is earth shattering. Ball of course wasn’t drafted for his scoring either.

And yeah in the context of replacing Lavine with him, the entire point of my post, for a win now team? Lol. I’d love to hear someone say he slots in nicely as the go-to scorer on a team trying to win. Apparently you and everyone posting after you missed the entire point of that.

He’s a project or a bust. Not the end of the world.

Reports are Eason could drop after poor workouts with teams in the middle of the lottery. Don’t be surprised if he slips to the Bulls and they don’t take him.
