if curry wins 4th title +FMVP

Post#1 » by Jfh20 » Fri May 27, 2022 10:10 pm

he will surpass lebron in both legacy and brand, imo. Curry has dominated the modern era of basketball with one team, didnt hop around from team to team like a chicken and was the reason golden state became a juggernaut...2x uninaminous mvp and broke rays record. If it was lebron on golden state when they struggled for 2 years, lebron would have "took his talents elsewhere ect.." by now... only knock left on curry is that he doesnt have an FMVP yet... he has a magic johnson MVP wcf award but he needs the finals FMVP too...

Except LeBron has 4 Finals MVPs and 4 NBA MVPs to go along with those 4 rings.

So it's not possible for Curry. There is nothing Curry can do anymore to surpass LeBron in legacy or brand. There is literally nothing Curry can do that will make people think that he's better at basketball than LeBron James.

I love Steph but he'd have to win more than LeBron has, minimum 5 to have a chance of being ahead of LeBron. Likely would have to be 6, with the argument being accomplishments vs. peak.

No, sorry. Steph is legendary in his own right and one of the top 15-20 players ever, but LeBron is a top 3 player ever at worst. Just not on the same level

Yeah, he won't. It's not possible. There is nothing Curry can do anymore to surpass LeBron in legacy or brand. There is literally nothing Curry can do that will make people think that he's better at basketball than LeBron James.

i disagree... curry is about to get his 4th title(tieing lebron), has achievements lebron can only dream of having.. and has the most unique skillset the modern nba has ever seen. he literally changed the game, like jordan did.... he is much closer to jordan, than any other ball players. if he has an impressive finals showing and wins.

Broke rays record, 2x unanimous MVP, revolutionized the game in itself is the grandest achievement of um all.

Lebron has been to the finals 10 out of 18 seasons with different teams. He is compared to MJ as the greatest of all time. I think Lebron is safely ahead of Curry.

it would be impressive if he won those finals, but he lost more than half... thats not a good look.

Unanimous MVP and a team that actually add more titles. Plus 3peat.

I do think doing it on a single team matters here, but does he surpass lebron? i dont think so. What winning does do is put your name back at the top of the totem pole, Curry will get a ton of love if he wins it all again. We all know how this works when lebrons wins a title, Curry Stans will be in heaven.

Why is unanimous MVP a big deal, and Whys that more impressive than having 4 MVPs? Dont know what the rest of that sentence means

yup, it would have been a lot better look if he was eliminated earlier. Then he can say he won more than half his finals. Thank god Curry didnt make it to the finals and lose last season, much better that he missed the playoffs entirely

I don't like Lebron but come on. How can Curry winning 1 Finals MVP be better than the guy who has multiple of them? oh wait, he can't. Some people sure like to rush their agenda it seems. Curry can surpass Lebron but he'll need to win more Finals MVPs to do it.

Because Curry is so good that he was blocked from MVP consideration simply because he made a team he was on so good it was deemed unfair and they've been trying to avoid acknowledging him as the best player in the league ever since leading to such dubious choices as Westbrook in 2017 and a back-to-back Jokic.

Then he'll be only seven behind Russell.

People forget how much of a legend Brian Cardinal was. He carried the Mavs to that 2011 title.

I met him once in person too, I don't think he's actually 6' 8", which makes his accomplishments even more impressive
