New contract being offered to Mount.

Not surprising, he'll prob play out his career at Chelsea maybe in the later years he'll get a move to MLS or a lower prem club

Mounts a good player. Shouldn't be in the England team over Maddison but still a good young player.

Chelsea target Koundé and Gvardiol after government clears takeover
Todd Boehly consortium’s £4.25bn takeover is approved
Sterling, Núñez and Dembélé among forwards being monitored

Sevilla’s Jules Koundé (left) and Josko Gvardiol of RB Leipzig are among the defenders on Chelsea’s shortlist.

Koundé, a 23-year-old France international, can play as a right centre-back and could be available for £50m. Gvardiol, a highly rated 20-year-old Croat, would be a replacement for Rüdiger because he can play on the left of a back three. Other names on Chelsea’s shortlist include Villarreal’s Pau Torres and Atlético Madrid’s José María Giménez. They are also huge admirers of Torino’s Gleison Bremer, though Internazionale are favourites to sign the 25-year-old Brazilian. Tottenham are another possible destination for Bremer.

Tuchel will also look at strengthening his midfield. Conor Gallagher will be given a chance to impress after a successful loan at Crystal Palace but there are doubts over N’Golo Kanté and Jorginho, both of whom are out of contract next year. Jorginho is a target for Juventus.

Chelsea are unlikely to be able to afford West Ham’s £150m asking price for Declan Rice, who is a target for Tuchel, and are set to miss out on Monaco’s Aurélien Tchouaméni to Real Madrid.

Much will depend on how much Chelsea can raise through sales. Kepa Arrizabalaga, the No 2 goalkeeper, is available for the right price and Tuchel’s hopes of upgrading his attack could rest on whether buyers are found for Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic, who has two years on his deal. Talks will also be held with Romelu Lukaku over the £97.5m forward’s future.

Spend that much and you have to win the title and at least make the CL semis.

Lukaku -> Barça links (Very good)

Koundé deal still on (Great)

Bissouma links (fine)

Dembele allegedly not going to PSG and not returning to Barça either.

Raheem Sterling coming alongside Dembele makes so much more sense.

Havertz/Sterling/Dembele/Pulisic/Mount/Odoi is a group of attackers I can be excited about.

But then again you were a massive Werner fan too.

He's underrated tbh.

He has zero tec whatsoever and cannot finish to save his life... but his movement causes chaos (against high lines anyways).

Any player that contributed minutes to Chelsea's CL winning campaign last season is slander free from me forever.

Something like this for next season is what I'm crossing my fingers for:

Image

Tommy Tukel was apparently granted 200M's from Lord Boehly himself. If I could only get four guys I'd go: Dembele, Koundé, Koulibaly, Cucurella.

I think that's a transformative summer session. I also don't turn my head away from a chance at Bissouma or Sterling (only contingent on the addition of a playmaker like Dembele).

Departures: Lukaku, Alonso, Azpilicueta, Ziyech, Werner +++ bench fodder

Given Gab Jesus is waiting on English 2nd nationality for the coming season Chelsea has a particularly good chance to buy him underpriced now. He's definitely better than Ziyech, is still younger than peak age, and could spike up his scoring on a non-Pep team.

Rate the player, but 60m for one contract year left is just not realistic lol.

For 40m though I'd be in, yeah.

City have about 5 attackers that would slide into our front 3. Haven't always seen the light with him, but I would take Gaby Jesus.

^^Kinda cool. I forgot Dembele worked under Tuchel at Dortmund for a while. Dembele is still a bit of a bust risk with respect to market price but he'll definitely be a lot better fit for Chelsea than how Barca have used him over his contract. Chelsea carries much less baggage than provincial clubs like Barca, Man U, Madrid.

Re Frenkie it's Barca politics at it's worst. Van Gaal forewarned how he would be misused by Barca the summer before he was bought, then it happened, never got fixed till Xavi arrived, then the political desperation machine kicked up a gear last season where Catalunya is selling stories about how Gavi is in the same league as Frenkie because Messi liked training with him.

She's quite reliable to be honest. She gets a lot of stick from people, but she normally gets things right months in advance, especially for clubs in Spain.
