no one.

99,99% sure will be someone in middle-late first round i do not know about and no one would select in top5 right now.
as for giannis/gobert draft.

imho magic fans should realize that"it is what it is"and this is a doomed draft, with probably no hof in top 5.

but still,we can get a good player to add to another good player and other complementary young pieces.

we should just fucus on what we can control, and stop claiming everytime that player X"is not what you want from a number one pic"because simply, there is not a davis,a towns,a cade, ecc.in this draft

Yes so we should be looking at this as who can we develop to be that player or close to it. Mosley is a development type of coach, we’re not getting LeBron here, so let’s get the high risk high reward guy here.

I’m going with Sharpe or an Ivey.

Where are they getting these numbers from?

So if I am reading this correctly they are saying there is a 7.2% chance that Jabari Smith Jr goes undrafted. That is kind of high IMO.

looks like they are predicting that 8% chance he doesnt go top-5, not undrafted

I trust WeHam.... If they make a trade down ... Choose higher than expected... I'm okee with it. Because I know they put a lot into their drafting... So... If Ivey and Sharpe are the selection.... Then .... I believe they turned over the rocks!

it's looking like Smith is the heavy favorite.

My mind changes daily. At one point I convince myself that Jabari Smith's subpar ball handling ability would prevent him from becoming a great scorer but then I watch the game against USF where he drove baseline and took off and dunked, making me think that he is too good of an athlete to not reach his potential of an all star.

I honestly don't think Paolo will be very good defensively but he could be just what we need for offense-a Julius Randle clone. Banchero could be the go-to guy we need on offense but I think the question then is whether Wendell-Isaac-Chuma next to him will be enough on defense.

I'm not sure what to think of Chet yet. He could be the center we need but his weight may prevent him from becoming that player we need. I'm concerned he may get injured if he tries to play in the paint at 195.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

CHET. IS. NOT. A. CENTER.

I feel like we can’t even have this debate properly until people move past that.

No one has any idea what our front office is going to do. I’m pretty positive the Jabari being a betting favorite comes solely from the money put on Jabari after that “league execs assume Orlando is picking Jabari” story.

Really does mean nothing.

So now the big report is that Chet was asked by TMZ sports if he wanted to be the number 1 pick in the draft and he said "Tune in to find out". They then followed up and asked him if he wanted to play for the Orlando Magic. His answer was that "I want to go to the team that best fits me and my career." Both are relatively safe answers.

The media is trying to spin it as either he doesn't want to play for Orlando (which I don't think is the case at all) or that he already knows that Jabari Smith is going first.

To me this could be that the reports are getting to him. Maybe this is some kind of 4D chess by Sam Presti to get him to blow his workout with Orlando. The rumors is that Chet and Presti have talked about him being selected #2 by OKC and that they are both happy.

Orlando runs this draft. Anyone and everyone will work out for Orlando if they think they have a chance at going #1. Anyone suggesting players not working out for Orlando is ridiculous.

He’s too slow to play SG. Could you imagine him trying to stay in front of a quick guard in the open court or trying to chase around shooters coming off of screens?

Not saying he won't workout with the team but will he give his all if he thinks he doesn't have a real chance?

Last year, Jonathan Tjarks was talking about Franz and making a case why he'd be a good player. One theory to support his argument was the fact that he was a younger brother to a sibling that also played ball. He says the younger brother is always a good, better player.

Jabari Smith is a younger brother to a sibling that played ball.
