Any competent team wins this series. But our team of overpaid scrubs was far from competent.

There is way too much dead weight on this roster. And even the useful pieces are flawed (old, one-dimensional, unathletic, or dumb). Above all, we need someone who can create and break down defenses. Tough summer ahead.

Remember the whole thing that Giannis would be most intrigued by the Heat if they showed loyalty to players like Bam. LMAO

He’s paid like this because he’s the best defender in the world and gives you 19-10-4 while doing it. That’s very very rare. He should’ve been cast in a scoring role over that inefficient chucker Herro this season

Look at the Sun's hesitance to max out Ayton. We severely overpaid, and it will continue to show until be get a real scorer to pair with Butler.

Some of the reactions here are absolutely terrible. We were 1 shot away from making the finals with a team so banged up they could barely walk. Stop with the overreactions. We made the ECF and got to game 7 and had a chance to win. That's better than 27 other teams. Our team has flaws yes but our young guys can still grow. I have faith in Tyler to take another step forward. His playoffs performance will only motivate him more. If healthy I fully expect to be back to the ECF. We lost a good chance but let's be honest we would have gotten crushed by the Warriors with our current health. let's take the positives from this season. Nr 1 seed. ECF. That's a good season overall.

The Heat were downright pathetic in this series. Blame it on injuries or whatever you want. But these shooting #s are plain embarrassing.

Never led a game 7 at home for even one second.

Bams way better than Ayton.

You say this as if Boston, Milwaukee and Philly were healthy themselves. Embiid played with a broken face, a swollen eye, and a torn ligament in his shooting thumb while he missed games. Bucks were missing their second best player. Boston had their best defenders, one of which a dpoy, in and out of the lineup and Tatum with a messed up shoulder and Jaylen with his hamstrings jammed up.

We had a completely healthy max player and he only showed up for two of the seven games this series. Tyler has been ass the ENTIRE playoffs and was hunted on defense like Duncan. Jimmy is not young, Kyle is not young, PJ is not young, we don't have time to wait for Tyler to grow. We have $90 million just rotting on the bench because he can't do his one **** job that he's been overpaid to do. We need better players on this roster. Our overreliance on these scrubs to show up when we needed them most was too much pressure for them to do every night. We need talent. We cannot win with just Jimmy showing up on a nightly basis, there needs to be another star on offense and that hasn't been Bam and we can't expect that from Tyler any time soon.

To me this entire run was all credit to Spo and Jimmy.

This roster construction left a lot to be desired, no real power rotation, injuries at the worst time, and we overachieved. Credit to Spo.

His teammates failed him in every way imaginable when it counted, and we were still within one shot of the finals. Credit to Jimbo.

They should be the only untouchables.

Agreed, but Spo gotta let small ball go as the primary defense. It just keeps our guys injured when we need them. Gotta figure that out.

I expect we’ll be looking for another big that can play alongside Bam and space the floor. I doubt Spo moves away from Bam at the 5, but we can’t wheel out Tucker as a starter next season. It’s too much burden on his body.

I expect we’ll seek a consolidation trade too. Herro likely gone and we’ll be big game hunting for a G/F who can take some pressure off Jimmy on offense.

All cards are on the table. Pat will do what’s necessary.

Just no more overpaying these scrubs and has beens. Please. They can come here, prove their worth, and let some other stupid gm overpay them. $90 million to Duncan and lord knows wtf is up with Lowry.

I’m not sold on small ball being the cause of our injuries but I agree with being done with it.

Pretty complicated end of the season fellas. To be honest, I went into this season thinking that making the ECF would be a success and I still feel that we overachieved to make it this far. I really didn’t like our off-season and didn’t think we were that close to a title but damn, we came pretty close to making it to the Finals. So on that hand, it’s hard to consider this season a failure and hard to be disappointed with the results. What’s crazy is the team didn’t even play that well in the postseason (shooters were MIA for most of the playoffs) and we still took it this far. That being said, it’s never not disappointing missing out on making the Finals when you’re this close.

Butler playing like a top 5 player was amazing to see and it bums me out that we probably never see him play at this level again. Would really love to see him win a ring as a Heat player, but this is probably the run it should have happened if it was going to.

Interesting summer ahead of us.
