That's gotta be reviewed to be a flagrant.

That was just awful basketball all series long. If this is the best the east has to offer and Morey can't get the Sixers above them, he deserves to not only be fired but excommunicated from the NBA forever. Warriors should cruise to the Finals, Boston can't shoot with them at all.

Ah nice, Jayson Tatum wins ECF MVP... I wonder what Markelle Fultz is doing right now.

I can say the same thing with Embiid, Ben, current and former sixers players.

We didn’t grossly overpay for any of those guys. And Joel could win ECF MVP if he stays healthy long enough. Fultz will never sniff that opportunity in his career. Could be a nice role player on a championship team, but will never be the deciding factor for a team’s success.

I find it remarkable that the Heat took them down to the wire in game 7 and actually had a shot for the lead. That team had no bench and no legitimate offense outside of Butler. Herro was unplayable because Boston relentlessly hunted him when he was on the floor. Yet they still took them seven games and to the wire, and if they had made their FT's and been at least average from 3 they might have won the damn thing.

Butler, Strus and Oladipo having a resurgence kept them in it. But Boston is a really good team.

Based on large sample size of regular season play, the Celtics are the better team and should be championship favorites over the Warriors. However, the true form of the Warriors offense took form in the postseason and now they're on the same level as a team. And in terms of pure dudes, the Warriors can count on more guys for scoring than the Celtics can.

I'm guessing Warriors in 5 games, maybe 4.

I'm going Warriors in 7. Like Kobble said, Celtics were the better team in the regular season, but the Warriors have taken it up a notch and home court will get them over the top.

True, but Jimmy playing out of his mind was the only reason there was a game 7, and the only reason they had a shot to win.

Speaking of which, the idea of criticizing Butler for taking the 3 instead of going to the rim is ridiculous. There's the fact that he played 48 minutes and might have been out of gas and known it. There's also the idea that as outplayed and outmanned as the Heat were, the chances of winning in OT were slim, much like the football team going for 2 instead of an extra point in a one-point game to win outright and avoid OT. Pulling back and running the clock down would have been a bad play as well, given the difficulty Miami was having in the half court. Going for the kill shot right there, a wide open 3 in transition, was the best play given the circumstances.

I'm thinking Warriors in 7 as well. If they're firing on all cylinders out of the gate and can win the first two there's a chance it could be a five game series, but I see a split at each arena, then the home team winning the last three games.

I think the Celtics half court offense is just a huge mess. They can spend their time trying to hunt Tatum mismatches but it often just ruins their flow and turns their offense to garbage. I’d pick GS to win it in 5 or 6 because of their shooting and versatility.

Steph, Klay, and Green as the continuity base of this team is what makes this lopsided in my mind. Draymond and Wiggins will, at minimum, give Tatum and Brown hell on defense. Will Smart, Horford, Grant Williams, and Derrick White supplement their scoring if they have issues?

Will the Celtics be able to slow down Steph when he's going outside of his mind? How about Klay if he goes nuts? Even Jordan Poole is dropping 18 a game this playoffs.

Celtics have looked good in the latter part of the regular season and through this playoffs, but they're getting a champion vet team on about a week of rest. This after back to back grueling seven game series. It's going to be a challenge to steal even one away game from GSW.

The Warriors were the 17th ranked offense this year yet their 117.1 playoff points per 100 would had them as the top offense in the league this year. Being able to flip the switch like that on-demand is not fair, lol.

I think the Celtics will win, but if there is any such thing as divine intervention the powers that be will collude to make sure that does not happen

The playoffs really are the first extended stretch where Klay, Dray, & Steph are playing together at full strength. After 2 years of injuries, GS is finally back to full strength at the best possible time. I’d probably pick them to win no matter what but Boston has some nagging injuries that makes it a pretty easy choice imo.

I think the way that GS has reloaded with long, athletic support players makes them a very difficult matchup too. They can throw a bunch of different lineup configurations at you that are tough to deal with.
