Braves' deep bullpen is another strength

The Braves will return most of their key bullpen contributors. Gonzalez, the former standout Pittsburgh closer, should return before the All-Star break.

The Braves are expected to decline to pick up a $5.5 million option on Octavio Dotel, but they might try to bring him back at a lower salary as a setup man.

If we fail to sign Dotel, that will be a complete waste of Davies.

Our bullpen was stronger than in 2005, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a "strength" of this team. They still screwed up a lot of games this past season.

Signing Dotel will help out a lot though. Honestly, now that I think about it, the bullpen wasn't that bad considering how many times they had to bail out our numbers 3-through-5 starters.
