Boston could have went to the finals earlier if those picks were used properly

So Boston's biggest issue preventing them getting over the hump...was coaching?
Hmmmm

It wasn't even coaching. Brad was a fantastic coach. It was just a matter of needing more experience. Tatum just turned 24.

It's literally been a year since Brad Stevens left the bench...and they are already in the Finals.

Give the homie Udoka some credit. He clearly has these guys buying in in a way Brad Stevens couldn't.

Yea no doubt. Stevens gets credit for hiring him though! Maybe Stevens is just more of a point A to point B guy. He's Doug Collins to Udoka's Phil Jackson. As a Bulls fan, would still be stoked to get Brad Stevens as coach.

But considering the current roster, I do kinda think that Ainge deserves to have a ring sent to him. It's his core roster.

You can't bat 1.000 forever, pharmy! Even lebron loses an nba finals occasionally. Well, often.

Harden wasn't the move but imo it was time for Ainge to move on. He was an excellent executive but the fact that he was initially so ahead of the curve was a hindrance when the rest of the league caught up. He was so used to fleecing bad GMs and that just doesn't happen to the same degree anymore. Stevens was able to make the right moves around the edges with ancillary pieces and I'm not sure Ainge would have.

Still dubious they will be able to take the Warriors. They're peaking at the right time.
