If Boston wins, then Miami will have lost to three consecutive NBA champions.

Crazy how much our offensive team identity changed from the regular season to the playoffs. We went from having a different guy lead the team in scoring every night to essentially a one-man Jimmy carry job. With how much everyone else fell off in the postseason, we would have majorly disappointed if Butler didn’t go supernova.

I am really disappointed with the lacks of offense from Bam. It wasn’t all on him either, players weren’t seeking him out as an option. Part of that is because when a player becomes too passive, teammates subliminally stop thinking of the player, but Spo did a terrible job getting Bam any sort of offensive role in the Celtics series.

Many NBA players are regular szn warriors.

we're 10 secs 2 points away from Finals, but it might be wise to find a legit running mate for Jimmy with resources we have.

What a bummer that we lost but still proud of this team and the season it had. On to the offseason fun

For the last couple of months we've been excited & thrilled watching Miami play few times a week. We've watched them play every second day in the last couple of weeks. Tomorrow......Nothing.....

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Yeah, what's up with that change in identity?

Guys dog it in the regular season, defenses arent as good, pressure isnt as high. A 7 game series with coaches scheming is an entirely different ball game.

Kobe is right. Teams rarely defensive game scheme for the opponents in the regular season. So role players flourish in the regular season. Come playoff time role players get schemed out easily. The stars overcome the schemes and carries the team.

I've been bitching about it since the Whiteside days. I said TRADE WHITESIDE WHILE HIS VALUE IS ALL TIME HIGH!!! but riley falls in love so much. We are very good at finding pumpkins in the garbage heap and turning them into Princes, but then Riley keeps then too long, overpays them, and they turn back into rotting pumpkins.

Whiteside/Tyler Johnson/Herro/Robinson/Waiters...........

etc

can we freaking develop guys into valuable assets and then TRADE THEM FOR PROVEN VETS to win now?

Can see Riles making it known that these are valued pieces in order to avoid undercutting in a possible trade negotiation involving them.....

Its more like, he says what he needs to say in the public eye in order to make his players feel wanted and safe. Then quietly shops them around, to which he gets GM's hanging up on him or laughing him off the phone and then were here entering the next team camp, while he praises the commitment and their upside in the upcoming season. Rinse, Repeat.

Keeping this and other factors in mind I definitely think we overachieved and that Spo rung out the most of his system and smallball style personnel.

This was really a second round team at best and it remains a treadmill team until we find that second star. Bam and Herro are not at that level.

Herro may never get there and Bam shows flashes but may be better as the third guy.

Boston took game 7 from beginning to end, they were the better team.

Grumpy Heat Fan wrote:Sorry guys but I can't help but reminisce and look at how Wade used to handle being down 1 or 2 points with 21 seconds left on the clock.

Waits for team to get into position for a chance at offensive rebound....Calls for ISO, drains clock to leave little time for opponent to reply... and plays to his strengths (driving, mid range game).

Jimmy with that pull up transition 3. Sigh. Nobody in position for a offensive rebound chance. Poor shot considering Jimmy's strengths and weaknesses. Why didn't he just go for a mid range J or a drive at Horford....

and that is why Dwade is a top 3 guard in the history of the NBA, We will miss that guy until we close our eyes
