Re: 2022 NBA Draft Part II
Christian Braun appears to have enough perimeter skills and court awareness to spend time as a lead ball handler. I question his fit at the 3 defensively due to his overall lack of length, but if he can defend 1's all game long then the length he does have becomes a positive as a help defender.

What ever happened to stretch fours? He doesn't play or move like a wing to me. He looks like your typical Tobias Harris, Obi Toppin, James Johnson, Derrick Williams, etc.
I did the stats earlier in the year, he's basically perfectly average sized for a PF in the league currently.

The median sized current PFs were Tobias/Gordon/Barnes.
Edit: Oh wait, you're the same guy as last time... Continuing to repeat easily disproven things is a weird look.

Median sized according to YOUR current calculations and not according to years of historical empirical data. Nice job buddy... Average would have more validity here.

As stated last time, A) A median is a type of average. B) If you use arithmetic mean instead the average height doesn't change and the average weight goes up 3 lbs (6'8 and 226/229 lbs).
Also, the median has way more validity here, that's legit stupid to imply otherwise.

Great, why must this thread be inundated with posts about YOUR personal calculations? The average height of NBA power forwards being 6'10" is an established fact.

I was just looking at my mock, this is a very big/long draft.
50% of my top 18 could play at the very least the 4 in a small ball lineup.
Chet
Jabari
Paulo
Dieng
M. Williams
Murray
Sochan
Eason
Duren

his last 2 games of the year vs Mike James and Monaco (top 8 Euroleague team this year) and not against teenagers.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Part II
Gabe Brown is an interesting prospect that fits into the 3 and D category. He has great length and athleticism for a wing. He already has the 3 point shot and is even an excellent free throw shooter. IMO He wouldn't be a reach at the end of the first round because the better teams need this kind of player. Mikal Bridges would be an excellent goal for him.

Maybe it's asking his magic 8-ball.

I consider Harrison Barnes to be more of a SF than a PF, FWIW..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Part II
Murray put together arguably the best season in Iowa history. He totaled 822 points, 303 rebounds, 68 blocks, 66 3-point field goals, 52 assists and 45 steals. He is only the second player in Division I history to amass more than 800 points, 60 blocks, and 60 3-pointers in a single season (Texas’ Kevin Durant in 2007). https://247sports.com/college/iowa/Article/2022-NBA-Draft-Iowa-Basketball-Where-Keegan-Murray-sits-in-CBSSports-latest-Mock-188078286/?
Players usually leave college basketball before getting good enough to pull that off. Murray is already 21. Durant if allowed would have gone to the NBA straight out of high school. Keegan Murray was a 21 year old sophomore in a NCAA depleted by the G LEAGUE, Overtime Elite, international leagues, prep schools (Lamar Miller) and in Shaedon Sharp's case, the practice court...

Okay. Jan Veselý...
vesely was euroleague mvp at 18? luka was bust proof. his production over there at age 18 made him bust proof - there was no possible way you were getting a guy who was dominating like he was at that young an age who wouldn't eventually become a good nba player. i didn't expect what we're seeing now, but he was bust proof. i saw as a 18-22 ppg, 7 and 7 guy, but his worst case was a dude who would get you 15 ppg with 6 and 6 or something along those lines. he was a lock to be a good nba player - we just didn't know how high his ceiling really was.

He averages 8 assists over his NBA career, why would his worst case average 6 assists? He dominates the basketball already and averages 8 assists. Why would he score half the points but only produce two less assists?

I don't believe in floors because fits exist. You have to be the right fit at the right time to be succesful on the court. Some players fail because they never got the right opportunity and it defeated them, so we never got to see them at their best. High floor sounds like a player is going to play to that level of his "floor" no matter what organizations throw at him from coach firings, to front office reorganizations, to mid season trades, etc, etc, etc.
