Its the holy grail of sorts in today's NBA....and we don't even have a **** version of it lol. Danny and Thybulle were our only wings...neither could dribble the ball; one can't shoot, other can't run lol. Just stack wings on wings on wings and hope some of them pan out.
I think my problem with this draft is how unprecedented it is in sub-75% FT shooters. LaRavia, Wendell, Bryce, Jalen Williams, and Max Christie (if he stays) do. But the problem with them is:
LaRavia - mediocre athlete, +1 wingspan, < 16ppg per 36 min
Wendell - strictly C&S, < 16ppg per 36 min
Bryce - everything statistic-wise other than his desire to score and his 3PAr, FTr.
Jalen Williams - short of the BPM requirements I look for, mediocre athlete, small school, not a tourney team
Max Christie - Similar situation to Bryce
After doing a little bit of a dive on previous drafts, I really do think the sub-16ppg per 36 min does serve as a disqualifer of sorts for prospects. Even role players and fringe all stars in the league hit that number. That's not to say ALL 16+ppg per 36 min will pan out, but it's pretty rare that a good player is below that threshold.
Justin Lewis starts to look good again, but I have my own issues with him. And at that point, just get him with a second round pick.
