Per Linda Ronstadt, the Eagles were sort of maybe in the process of being formed anyway. During that process, the top two guys backed her up for a tour, roomed together, and solidified their partnership. Then they did some of their first rehearsals at her house.
Or something like that.

Of Linda Ronstadt's greatest songs/greatest hits, I think this is one of the least remembered now. It's beautiful.

One of the greatest country songs ever. Voted as one of Tennessee's many state songs, which is a little jarring given its celebration of lawlessness.
And another of the greats, only for weed rather than moonshine liquor:

Yeah, they used to pull her out for the national anthem quite a bit IIRC.
There are so many celebrities who were born and bred in the NE area. Is Donnie Wahlberg, McLovin, and Maria Menounos the best the Celtics can do??

Also many decades old, and pretty much the respective artists' signature songs:
Indeed, the Loretta Lynn and Johnny Cash ones were the title songs of their respective biopics.

My guess is they're all based in LA now, so they don't come to watch Celtics games often. Even Mark Wahlberg, a supposed diehard Celts fan, rarely comes to the Garden

Re: OT: Art, Music, Literature, Media, and More! Part 2
Hands down one of my favourite guitarrists of all time. Amazing talent and voice, but very very sadly taken away from us way too early on 1997 at age of only 31. Was born on November 17th of 1967 [same day as my birthday] and died in 1997 [year I was born], though it means pretty much nothing, I will always feel there's a connection, since I felt so many shivers on the very first time I heard him sing this song for the first time. Just a few days ago on May 29th it's been 25 years since you died, Jeff, but you'll always be and stay in all of our memories.

People are always amazed by the end result (me too) but my first thoughts are how and why do you know you can do that and what made you try it in the first place.
Solving Rubik's? Sure. Juggling? Sure. Juggling Rubik's? Sure, why not. Then you get to the hard stuff. How do you start twisting the individual cells and still juggle? How do you move on to seeing each color and remember how to position the cube for the turn you want WHILE JUGGLING? I know there are more intricacies and I want to know how the heck did he figure out he can calculate them and perform them in that small window!!! Yeah yeah, practice makes perfect but man, how did he get there to even know what to practice!
The dude's a genius with it and I love to see it!
NAME ON THE FRONT OF THE JERSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(!)

no one sounds like a whole lot of people. i'll take your word for it on the praise in certain circles. i did come across this quite dubious list (#70):
https://www.udiscovermusic.com/stories/best-male-rock-singers-legendary-vocalists/
steven tyler and iggy pop as possible additions to my list. and pick your poison from 'the band'

'Hustle' on Netflix was damn good. I was surprised. One of the better sports movies I've seen in a really long time. Lots of heart and solid acting. Just felt so real. Sandler continues to deliver

Recover soon, man.
Got my 4th dose the other day too. Pfizer. Just got a slightly sore arm which is fine now, that's it.
