After looking at Liddell, I don't think I'm too crazy about him.

One thing that concerns me is that his wingspan is mediocre, which I think is a secret ingredient for these sneaky-athletic role players who end up being better than expected.

A 7 foot wingspan on a 6'7" player is mediocre? Sure it's not overly freakish but it's not what I'd call mediocre.

Tari Eason is 6'8" with a 7'2" wingspan, is that also mediocre as he has that extra inch in height?

I'm genuinely curious.

His wingspan is okay, I'm not saying it's terrible, but for someone I think is going to mostly be playing PF and will have to make his living as a plus defender, it's not exceptional. Of anyone who got measured at the combine, he had the worst standing reach of a front court player. I don't think it's enough to disqualify him as a prospect, but a mediocre wingspan would make me think twice about someone who projects as a defensive role-player in the front court.

I see Eason being a more perimeter oriented player, where wingspan is slightly less important, and it goes without saying that it's 2 inches longer, and hence better. Eason's wingspan for the role he's likely to play (versatile wing defender) is very good. Liddell's wingspan for the role he's likely to play (versatile front court defender) is mediocre/average.

FWIW, Millsap had a higher standing reach and wingspan by about 2' compared to Liddell.

Kendall Brown is a very skinny stretch four. I don't see him making a living at the three. Brown is on my disappointed if drafted by the Bulls list. I'd take Moore Jr. over Brown. A perimeter defense second team of Ayo, Caruso, and Moore Jr. is very intriguing.

There's not many prospects on the list I'm one hundred percent against. I hate the idea of Patrick Baldwin more than anyone.

I think Moore will be a solid plug and play 3D wing from day one. Brown will take some time but he has a much higher ceiling.

Higher ceiling? I would guess both guys ceiling is quality rotation roleplayer. I don't see breakout star potential from either prospect.

Givony still has Tari going to the Bulls. Sochan at 16 is interesting as well.

They probably saw big improvements with this kid. There is no way hes not in the mock draft and is suddenly in rank 49 in sports illustrated all of a sudden. And interest of 12 teams for workout and after every work out he have positive inputs from the management.. they must have seen something in this kid.

I can actually see al horford comparison to be honest.. who can defend and shoot threes and be effective in pick and roll. he is able to manage to defend dellavedova in nbl and keep up with him.. dellavedova is not slow by any means. So i can see that he can defend on switch. He is a better defender than vucevic for sure but vucevic is better offensively as of now.. there is potential that he will be better offensively later on.. he really have a smooth stroke.. the bulls need a setup plays for this guy.. i can already see big problems for opposing team trying to defend the pick and roll.. because this dude can pass and make plays like jokic.. its not polish but hes young and he can improve.. i heard he is ambidextrous as well who can shoot at either hand.. he is 240 lbs now, he can gain up to 270 max to maintain a healthy bmi and have speed but it would take time to get there.

Only thing is.. is he worth it at 18th pick? Or the bulls are trading for some 2nd rnd pick to get him? I already knew hes a sleeper but the inputs from management after workouts saying hes impressive intrigues me how he improved in short span of time.. i know hes getting small touches in nbl and no set plays designed for him but managed to get 7.5 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game in 12 mins is not bad at all considering this is a pro league. And with 38.5% from three??? I guess he was not able to actually showcase his talent in nbl because of jitters and is actually a rookie among men plus he really is getting very small touches and plays does not really revolve on him. So in work outs when theres little pressure and teams are just asking him if he can do a set of task he is able to do it.. well thats is just my take on what’s happening.. but Getting a second rounder with his talent is already a steal for me.. i am guessing that the bulls are gonna trade for a second round pick to get this guy..

Prospect most likely to go from undrafted to All Star

There's so much to love about Dyson Daniels as a prospect. If he can tighten up that handle and become reliable from deep, he's got star potential. I'm sure he's well out of our range now after some very good combine measurements.

Moore is being slept on. He’s plug and play from day one. Solid D. High IQ. Makes the right plays and can shoot. I’ve been saying he’s GTJ 2.0. I think he will be a high volume good 3pt shooter. Our 2nd biggest need.

I'm not really sure how you can equate the 2. Liddell is 9 years younger and could develop into a much better player than Theis. Much more versatility.

The odds are good that he never becomes a good as Theis is currently.

And Theis is pretty versatile as it is.

Don't draft a guy who tops out at 4th/5th option. That's Liddell to me.

And Theis doesn’t even see the floor in the playoffs.

I’d be happy with either, but I’m more confident in the former’s ability to get his in an NBA offense.

I’ve watched more of JW. His passing pops out of the PnR and shot creation inbetween game. Everything else feels meh to me. Solid shooting motion and good feel. Good IQ on D but nothing special. His ceiling is Sadiq Bey IMO which would be a great fit for us but I just don’t see him getting there. Dont know what it is

He gets about 10 minutes a game on a Finals team. That's solid.

Liddell could end up a bit more perimeter oriented than Theis (defensively and offensively) which could help him out. But I just don't think the gap is that large. And the flip side could also be true where Liddell can't hang with NBA frontcourt players in terms of size (given his lackluster reach).

I’ve wondered if Liddell could slim down gain some quickness and become more like a Grant Williams. I think that’s his ideal role aka PJ Tucker.

David Roddy has declared he's staying in the draft. Someone is going to get a really good basketball player in the late first or early second because he's not 6'8".

The Bulls have a workout scheduled with him too.

Seems like an interesting prospect, 6'9.75" with a 7'3" wing span had a good game in one of the combine scrimmages if you could work out a deal to get the Grizzlies 22 and 29 for 18 I'd definitely think of picking him up with the latter pick.
