Stealing a Finals game on the road is one of the best feelings in basketball. Incredible comeback.

They won’t. And Horford and White won’t continue to have career games. But Tatum (hopefully) won’t continue to be this awful going forward either.

I'm very comfortable saying they will not repeat this shooting performance the rest of the series. No matter how good of a look they get.

That's not to say they'll NEED to. But tonight won't happen again.

If Tatum actually shows up on offense it still evens out.

Yeah, every game is different, the long Bucks and Heat series showed that pretty clearly. Pointing to one factor (ie. Celtics role players making 3s) as if that's the only thing that will change is simplistic thinking. Tatum probably won't shoot as poorly. Otto Porter probably won't go 4/5 from 3 again. Several other things.

You must've not paid attention to the Celtics' defense in the 4th quarter. That's why they won. The threes were just the icing on the cake.

Don’t engage him, he’s still Butthurt that Miami lost. He can’t comprehend how there’s a chance Boston could actually win this series.

So the Celtics won because of their defense and not because they made 21 threes. I m not even saying anything controversial here.

Anyone have his second half stats? Jeeez

He seemed OK. Not missing wide open threes like “first team All NBA” Tatum. His third quarter was weak though.

Atleast Tatum was moving the ball around and got 13 assists.

Curry was really forcing it after the first. Didn't seem him dance around too much in the fourth.

You’re not seriously arguing that Jayson Tatum was better than Curry tonight than Curry, are you? He was like the third worst player who saw the court for the Cs. Props to Horford and White going like 95% from 3 in the 4th. Hard to sustain, but impossible to beat.

He's a Vinnie Johnson of the 3-pt era. E.g., both of them were surprisingly good rebounders.

Celtics 8-2 on the road in the playoffs. That is really insane against this level of competition.

Celtics shot insanely well in the fourth quarter but they also held the warriors to just 16 points in the quarter. Both things can be true

So game 1 mvp ,
Realistically JB right ?
Horford scored but more as a supplemental scorer , JB did most heavy lifting during comeback .
Agreements ?

What Udoka said about the ECFs is reminiscent of the 2011 Mavs after they beat OKC. Doris Burke was scrambling around trying to find them to interview and they all just calmly went back to the locker room. And it was because Dirk and company didn't care about the WCFs... they set their eyes on something bigger and more important. They didn't want to celebrate that accomplishment.

Their defense kept them in the game long enough to get hot. GS defense never let them build a big enough lead even when Tatum sucked.

Curry nowhere to be found after that shoot around in the first quarter

Green had 4 points on 12 shots and celebrated the 4 points like he was going for 60

Draymond got a big mouth for such a small boxscore.
