Yeah, they both have in fact won a title. One got carried to one and the other joined the best team so he could be guaranteed two of them.

And they do have something that they don’t. Wanna know what that is? Am upcoming game, because unlike Irving and Durant, they were able to get the job done and advance to the next round.

I’d be more worried about your ruined reputation on this site if I were you.

Both are Champions no matter what idiotic excuses you make for them getting there. That can never be taken from them no matter how upset it makes you

Pretending they can't be part of winning teams is literally false.

And doesn't matter if Celtics win this year or not. Cause Celtics were sitting at home when they both won titles.

imagine your team being so irrelevant that you have to brag about your players past success on different teams

Pretty sure I wasn't bragging about anything.

Just saying its incorrect to say they are not winning players. But I forgot past Championships don't matter.

I'm sure you will never mention the 2022 Celtics title ever again after this year if the Cs win.

I don't think either of these teams is going to be overly phased by prospect of winning on the road, so I'm not too worried for the Warriors dropping this game, however there are definitely some adjustments they need to make.

Idk. I don't think this Warriors core has faced anything remotely similar to playing an NBA Finals Game at the Garden. Finals games there are just different. The amount of teams who've won there starts and ends with the Lakers literally. There's some exaggeration to the lore nowadays but there's a reason that Zeke from Cabin Creek despises that place. I hope the Warriors are ready.

As is that of the Warriors fans. The laziest cope is always “they won’t shoot that well again!” completely ignoring all the reasons that facilitated that hot shooting. Particularly the fact that the Warriors got stifled by the Celtics defense in not just one but two quarters.

Warriors will lose against a team that is clearly better than them. Just like in 2019. Steph - Klay - Dray + roleplayers is not enough to hang with elite defensive teams with star wings, great defensive backcourts, and a brilliant defensive mind at the 5. 2019 Raptors and 2022 Celtics are eerily similar in team composition and both teams are just straight-up better than the Durant-less Warriors. Frankly I doubt the Dubs would even make the finals if they didn’t get to play two cupcake matchups in the first two rounds, but that’s the way the cards were dealt.

Warriors haters...take a fricken breath lol. The IMMEDIATE pile on is amazing!

That said....Boston is by far the most physical team Warriors have played. Hats off to them for stealing game one.

Agreed. While the Warriors may be a great defensive team statistically, nothing wears you out like the Heat's grit and grind defense.

This is why we were saying Celtics will have an easier time offensively against the Warriors.

I guess you have not seen how Boston plays at home. Celtics would be better off if every game was in Golden State.

Offhand, I can recall him singlehandedly setting up 2 makes in the critical stretch when they pulled away. But I agree, it's a combination of drawing the attention and making the right passes, as opposed to him being some master ballhandler/passer.

The run in the 4th started with Jaylen scoring or assisting in 14 straight points with little involvement of Tatum in the offense

It was typical Kerr.

A crappy line up that let's the opposing team get momentum, check.

Not adjusting defensively when the defense falls apart, check.

Sitting Curry in the 4th with a lead because Curry needs 6 minutes of rest no matter what, check.

Watching a double digit lead evaporate in 4th and then putting Curry in to dig them out of the hole, check.

You can spot a Kerr/GSW meltdown a mile away if you watch them enough.

Usually Curry comes in and saves them.

It must be painful to live in that world :(

Boston trailed by as many as 13 through the 3rd. Warriors shut down Tatum and it was primarily the 6th guy on their squad that got hot from three that changed the game.

But yeah...a game one loss in the finals TOTALLY proves that Warriors have been hot garbage in their dynasty run lol.

It's the lack of Tatum offensively that just makes this so great, good team ball. Exactly how it should be.

Don’t engage him, he’s still Butthurt that Miami lost. He can’t comprehend how there’s a chance Boston could actually win this series.

So the Celtics won because of their defense and not because they made 21 threes. I m not even saying anything controversial here.

They won for multiple reasons. Mind-blowing concept, I know.

No idea why everyone was bandwagon hopping the Warriors. Both the Heat and the Celtics are better teams.

Well FWIW I didn't, I said the Warriors hadn't been tested properly yet in the playoffs and this was the fist real test for them. I still haven't voted at all, but first game was pretty worrying for them TBH, they showed just don't have the length to defend Boston properly. Missing those longer defenders and Bogut-type presence they always used to have. Boston is the type of team that starts from a clean board offensively, they make their plan as they go by searching and finding weaknesses.

Don't get me wrong the celtics wont shoot that well from three again, but this is what the playoffs/finals are like. Role players step up sometimes. Stars have big games, stars struggle. Momentum swings.

Mario Chalmers dropped 25 in a finals game in 2012. Iguodala played well enough to steal (undeservedly) finals MVP from Steph in 2015. Danny Green set a record for threes made in the finals in 2013 before Steph later broke it.

Can’t blame us when the last week has been filled with Warriors dicksucking. Muh Steph is greater than LeBron! Muh Klay is the coolest raddest dude ever and totally doesn’t need to grab and hold opponents on every defensive possession. Muh Draymond is still the best player in the world!

I had hoped my Raptors ended this meme when they slapped you every game in Oracle and shuttered the arena on the way out, but they didn’t double tap and now Boston has to finish the job.
