good lord, you can't be serious. Nesmith is a shooter who can't hit a shot and is like a deer in the headlights out there.
Theis was our center when we made it to the ECF just 2 yrs ago - he's just as good (if not better) than he was then. You're comparing apples to oranges.
Theis hit a 3 last night (something Nesmith hasn't been able to do) and he can also block shots, like this one in the last series we just played vs Miami:
Future hall of famer Draymond Green gets a rebound over him and all of a sudden he's trash
Theis has a solid defender, rebounder, rim protector who is really good at setting screens, as well as sealing off his man so Tatum can drive to the basket. He's tough, physical, probably the strongest dude on the team outside of Grant. He's fearless, doesn't back down from anyone. If he gets 5 minutes a game, I'm not losing sleep. For crying out loud, that's all he got last night and we won in a blowout. Like honestly, what are we complaining about here lol
We have 2 Fragile (if that's the word) Centers. -- Horford, who turned 36 today, needs proper rest, at times.
And, Rob Williams, who is still dealing with lingering injuries.
It only makes sense for Theis to come in -- when he can -- and eat up some of the minutes.
Theis is a trooper. I want him on our team, going forward. He's a Swiss-Army-Knife of Centers.
Agreed, Theis' screens, shot blocking, passing(screens under the basket
